Wow, Jack was truly amazing with Jamie.

It was as if they were tailor-made to be together.

Their connection was palpable, like an invisible thread pulling them closer with each passing moment.

Jack's kindness and understanding towards Jamie were simply heartwarming.

He always knew the right things to say and do to make Jamie smile.

And Jamie, in turn, brought out the best in Jack.

With her, Jack was more confident and full of life.

They complemented each other perfectly, like two pieces of a puzzle that fit together seamlessly.

It was no wonder that everyone around them could sense the special bond they shared.

They were like a shining star in the night sky, attracting the attention and admiration of all who saw them.

It was clear that Jack and Jamie were meant to be, and their love story was one that would be remembered for a long time.

I read this book several years ago, but unfortunately, I couldn't recall much of its content. Therefore, after recently finishing the first book in the series, I decided to give this one another go. However, upon re-reading, I found that I didn't enjoy this installment as much as the first.

That being said, there was one redeeming factor - the increased presence of Beckwith, a character whom I absolutely love. Additionally, the secondary characters Pops and Austin also added some depth and interest to the story.

One thing that I would have really liked to see was an epilogue. It would have been great to get a sense of what happened to the characters after the events of the book. Overall, while this book wasn't my favorite in the series, it still had its moments and I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes next.

This book was rather on the paranormal side. The heroine seemed to base all of her decisions solely on the predictions of a psychic.

To be honest, it was a bit of a turn-off for me. The hero was decent enough, and the heroine had her likable qualities. However, overall, the book was a real struggle to get through.

I found myself constantly having to push myself to keep reading. There were just too many aspects that didn't quite gel for me.

All in all, I can't really recommend this book. If you're into paranormal romance and don't mind a heavy reliance on psychic abilities, then perhaps you might enjoy it. But for me, it just didn't hit the mark.

I would suggest looking for something else that might be a better fit for your reading tastes.

I liked this book, but it just didn't measure up to the first one in this series.

I'm not sure exactly why, but the plot didn't really resonate with me. It felt a bit off, and the romance seemed rather contrived.

Take the couple, Jack and Jamie, for example. They meet for the first time and then, on the very next day after their first date, they sleep together.

I really didn't like that aspect because it just doesn't seem realistic. And I thought it was rather foolish of Jamie to think it was okay to sleep with Jack when she didn't know much about him, just because she thought he was the "one".

As a result, I didn't really like the overall concept of this story. However, I do still hope that the series will be continued.

We don't know when Ms. McCarthy will write Caroline and Allison's story, but I really hope she does soon.

I think she's a great author, and I've enjoyed her anthologies. I'm confident that she would come up with something wonderful for our remaining heroines.

The story, in my opinion, advanced at a pace that was a touch too rapid for my liking.

Undoubtedly, it possessed the elements that could have potentially crafted a remarkable narrative.

There was a certain allure and promise within its framework.

However, it is with a sense of disappointment that I must say it rather disappointingly just sort of fizzled out and fell flat.

It failed to fully realize its potential and left me feeling a bit let down.

The initial excitement and anticipation that it had generated gradually waned as the story unfolded in a less than satisfying manner.

It seemed to lack the depth and substance that would have elevated it to the status of a truly great story.

Nonetheless, there were still glimmers of what could have been, which only served to heighten my sense of disappointment.

Not as good as the first one.

I understand why I didn't want to read it before. The plots where the main character hurts their significant other by deceiving them into thinking they were someone else is simply not my cup of tea.

I'm glad I did not re-read the synopsis before diving in.

It has an interesting, whimsical atmosphere. Everything around Jack leads Jamie to believe he is her soulmate, her destiny.

All her dreams collapse when she realizes Jack is actually someone else, and that meeting him was no accident.

It's pretty obvious throughout the story that she wants to forgive him. She gives him all the "come over" signals but verbally she says "stay away". This mixed signals give Jack hope.

I don't know how real it is for a man to always be chasing after a girl when he is rejected multiple times, but I've seen friends forgiving their significant others over and over, so I am no one to judge.

I would've liked Jamie to be more assertive in her convictions, but that is on me.

The story is very well written. The characters have a life of their own and it has so many funny moments that no matter what, I really enjoyed my time reading it.

This book is truly remarkable as it holds the record for the longest sex scene.

From page 63 all the way to page 99, it's a continuous stream of intense action. It's not just all about the physical aspect though; there are brief intervals for conversation and cuddling, adding a touch of tenderness.

However, after this sensual feast, there's a long stretch of nothing until page 224. The only thing that pops up in between is a cross-dressing psychic, which serves as a bit of a distraction. This makes the book feel rather slow during that period.

This book can be considered a love tease. It begins with a powerful start (yes, the pun is intended), grabbing your attention right away. Then it leads you on and on, making you think something more is about to happen. Just when you're on the verge of giving up on it, Bam! There's more teasing.

By the end of the book, I still hadn't developed any real affection for the characters. In fact, I didn't even care what ultimately happened to them. It's as if the book was more about the teasing and the build-up rather than creating a deep and engaging story with likable characters.

Yech.

This was nothing more than a flimsy excuse to string together an excessive number of bedroom scenes.

It was all tied together with the tired and overused trope of destined soulmates meeting at first sight, blah blah.

The writing itself wasn't as abysmal as that of most of the romance novels I've perused, but still.

I'm simply exhausted from reading about impossibly gorgeous people getting together and professing their undying love after a day filled with nonstop bedroom shenanigans.

It seems that every other romance novel follows this same formula, and it's become so predictable and tiresome.

I long for something more original, something that doesn't rely so heavily on these clichéd elements.

Maybe it's time for a new wave of romance novels to emerge, ones that offer a fresh perspective and a more engaging storyline.

Until then, I'll continue to search for that elusive gem among the sea of mediocre romance novels.

Jack's grandfather is the best.

He is a kind and gentle man who always has a smile on his face.

He loves Jack very much and spends a lot of time with him.

They go fishing together, play ball in the park, and watch movies at home.

Jack's grandfather also tells him stories about his childhood and teaches him many useful things.

Jack looks up to his grandfather and wants to be like him when he grows up.

He is grateful to have such a wonderful grandfather in his life.

Jack's grandfather is truly the best.

5 stars! Hell, I'd give it 10! This is by far the best book I've read in a long time.

I absolutely love the heroes in this story. They are not tortured souls who push away the ones they love because they think they are screwed up.

No, these heroes know exactly what they want and they go for it. It's so refreshing to read about characters who are confident and decisive.

The story is engaging from start to finish, with plenty of action, romance, and drama.

I couldn't put it down! This book is definitely a keeper for my shelves. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Well, 3.5, let me fix on that :D

I really liked this book. Most of the time, it was a nice read.

What I truly appreciated was that the first secret was revealed quite quickly. However, then the two main characters faced a second problem. I loved the fact that there was more than one issue in the story.

Nevertheless, I didn't like the writing style. Don't misunderstand me. Overall, it was good, but the perspective shift, especially in the first half, was a bit too sudden, and there were some repetitions, which became annoying by the middle.

The story is quite exciting. The plot line is great, and I just couldn't stop reading. But it wasn't entirely smooth. Maybe it was because of the repetitions.

Regarding the characters, Jack lied. His intentions weren't malicious, but still, he did lie. And then there's sweet Jamie. Her past relationships were all with the wrong guys. Now that she's found the right one, she doesn't think it's right. Okay, don't get me wrong. Some of the emotions were completely genuine. But when she said she couldn't be with Jack because the timing was all wrong, I mean, what the heck. He's basically the first guy who seems nice and decent, and she just blows him off.

Anyway, in the end, I was satisfied, so everything was fine :D Still, it's not one of my favorites.

By the way, now I'm completely curious about what's going to happen with Caro!!

I fell in love with Jack and Jamie the very moment they 'crashed' into each other! They were far from being perfect individuals, yet they were absolutely perfect for one another! This book had such a realistic feel to it that it could effortlessly pass as a true story! I could truly envision something similar happening in real life.

I adored Beckwith - he had me cracking up with his antics. And Jack's grandfather, oh how I'd love to have him live with me. He was such a hoot!!

This book was truly great. It encompassed everything - drama that kept me on the edge of my seat, a beautiful romance that tugged at my heartstrings, humor that had me laughing out loud, and some seriously hot sex scenes that added an extra layer of excitement. It was simply wonderful!
