I came across this book during a very low point of my life.

It was a time when I felt lost, confused, and filled with self-doubt.

Little did I know that this book would turn out to be a game-changer for me.

It was one of those rare books that had the power to make a significant difference and bring about a positive change in my perspective and attitude.

To truly benefit from this book, one needs to be introspective.

It requires you to look deep within yourself, face your fears, and confront your insecurities.

At times, it can be a painful process, but it is also a necessary one.

If you take this book seriously and are willing to do the inner work, it will surely help you.

I have read hundreds of books in my lifetime, but this one stands out as one of the most memorable and impactful.

It has had a profound influence on my journey towards a more joyful and fulfilling life.

It has taught me valuable lessons about self-acceptance, forgiveness, and the importance of living in the present moment.

I am truly grateful to have come across this book when I needed it the most.

I was looking forward to a book that was handwritten and had self-illustrations, but it turned out to be much better than I expected.

The moment I opened the book, I was immediately attracted by its unique charm. The handwriting was not only neat and beautiful but also full of personality. Each stroke seemed to tell a story.

And the self-illustrations were simply amazing. They were vivid and detailed, perfectly complementing the text. It was as if the author had brought the story to life through these illustrations.

Overall, this book exceeded my expectations and became one of my favorite possessions. I will cherish it and recommend it to all my friends who love reading.

It had been a long time since I felt that I had drifted away from my "true self."

That is, the fear of not being loved and judged had caused me to always have a mask on my face in front of people. It had been several years since I had been doing this, and it had caused me to forget that face under the mask over time. But unfortunately, this was not the only harm I had done to myself. When a person constantly pretends as if their existence and personality are like a water lamp. We move so far away from the truth that in front of different people, we present a different image of ourselves. As if we are the reflection of others. If we are lucky and the people around us have healthy personalities, perhaps we won't be harmed as much.

I had reached a stage where for this kind of self-collapse, I blamed everyone! My friends not being real! My family having problems! My colleagues being bad! But the truth is that if we have problems with everyone, the fault can't be with all the people in the world! I don't usually go for books of this genre. But I realized that when I listened to it audibly, my mind doesn't have that eternal resistance. This book helped me a lot to be able to let go of a burden once. That volume of hatred, envy, sadness, self-love, and so on that was weighing me down. I still have a long way to go, but it was a good start for me. I recommend that everyone read this book once...

My Insights from this Book (1):

We assume that whatever is divine must be flawless. This perception is not only incorrect but the exact opposite of the truth. Divinity means completeness, and completeness means being everything; positive and negative, good and bad, holy and profane.

We cannot understand or see something without being that thing ourselves. We cannot recognize a quality in others that we do not possess within ourselves. If you encounter someone's courage, it is because you have the trait of courage within your being. And if you think someone is self-willed, be sure that you can also be just as self-willed.

As long as we do not accept a certain aspect within ourselves, we attract people into our lives who exhibit that aspect. Our being is constantly striving to show us who we truly are and help us become whole and unified again. If we deny or are uncomfortable with anger within ourselves, we will attract short-tempered individuals into our lives.

We attribute our weaknesses to others and tell others things that we should actually tell ourselves. When you label someone who has made a mistake, stop and see if you don't call yourself the same way? If you are honest, the answer will always be yes. The world is a big mirror that constantly reflects our qualities back to us.

If you want to be like someone else, it is because you have the ability within yourself to be like them. If you are attracted to very prominent individuals and spend your money and time reading their biographies, look for that aspect within yourself that you like in them. If you admire the greatness of another person, what you see is your own greatness. If you did not have the aspect of greatness within you, you would not be able to recognize this trait in others.

When you truly accept and embrace one of your aspects, a miracle occurs. At that moment, the person who was previously in the role of a mirror for you either changes their behavior or you gain the ability to no longer have them in your life. You no longer need anyone to reflect your shadow for you, and since you have become more unified, you naturally attract those who will reflect your unity. The more parts of your being you accept and claim as your own, the healthier and more suitable individuals will appear in your life.

If you become friends with yourself, you will put an end to the cycle of losing yourself and others and realize that we never lose anyone but only our relationships change form.

Each of us has the ability to give ourselves everything we need to be complete and happy.

What does not grow disappears.

We have been taught that pursuing desires is a difficult task. But we don't realize that perhaps the journey of life without the knowledge that we are not in pursuit of our desires may be much more difficult.

Desire is the key to fully utilizing our spiritual power.

We encounter people who want to be artists or writers but are sure that they cannot fulfill their desires. When we ask them the reason, they say they do not have enough talent and knowledge. They believe in the reasons they give for failure but not in their path!

The shadow existence is also from the branch of psychology. The fact that every human being is a complete world and has all the good and bad together! But according to the education and culture we grow up with, we try to hide a series of qualities that are considered bad and surely exist in us. And this hiding takes a significant amount of our energy. A vivid analogy used is that hiding the bad qualities in us is like keeping a plastic ball under water. It takes a lot of energy from a person and we always have to pay attention to it. Otherwise, as soon as you let go, it will pop up! Another very interesting thing is that every good or bad quality that we attribute to others surely also exists in us. Otherwise, we couldn't understand that quality at all! So be careful that if we accuse someone of a bad quality, in fact, we also have that quality ourselves! And even a way to know our shadow existence (which they call the shadow) is to see what bad qualities we accuse others of. In fact, with this act, we project and condemn in others what is in us and comes out of us!

Carl Gustav Jung was a renowned Swiss psychiatrist who delved deep into the concept of our shadow selves.

In her work "The Dark Side of the Light Chasers," Debbie Ford takes this exploration a step further and makes the journey to understand one's shadow self a practical one. She serves as the tour guide for this profound inner exploration.

We often like to pretend that we have no shadow side, no hidden or dark motives. However, the truth is that we all do. As human beings, we possess both good and bad within us. If we choose to ignore this fact, we run the risk of allowing our shadow side to悄悄地creep up on us and cause problems.

We may find ourselves doing things that we don't want to do simply because we pretend that those options don't exist for us. This is a mistake.

When we are angry at a friend's selfishness or find someone else's arrogance off-putting, it could very well be because we are reacting to those same traits within ourselves. We deny certain parts of ourselves, and as a result, we never truly connect with the world around us. Instead, we remain in a state of conflict or at least aggravation with it.

This doesn't mean that we should surrender to the bad aspects of ourselves or let them run wild. It simply means that we can only gain control over something if we are aware of its existence.

Within our dark impulses lie hidden gifts, but these gifts can only be uncovered when we embrace and reclaim our whole selves.

The wealthy king of the country sends one of his messengers and wants him to search the whole world and find the worst thing as quickly as possible.

The messenger goes to carry out the king's order, but after a while, he returns empty-handed.

The king asks, "But I don't see anything. What did you find?"

The messenger says, "Your Majesty, command me and I will bring out my language."

The king wants an explanation from the young man.

He says, "Language is the worst thing in the world. Because it can do very bad things. It can tell lies, slander, and deceive. And I can use my language to harm others. So my language is the worst thing in the world."

The king again asks the messenger to go and bring the best thing in the world.

The messenger rushes away and again, after a while, he returns empty-handed.

This time the king shouts, "So where is it?"

Again the messenger brings out his language.

The king says, "Explain how such a thing is possible?"

The messenger says, "Language is the best thing in the world. Language conveys the message of love. The beautiful poetry can only be expressed with language. My language distinguishes the subtle differences between flavors for me and guides me to eat nutritious foods. My language is the best thing in the world because I can mention the name of God with it..." The king is very pleased with his answer and appoints that messenger as his chief advisor.

Laboratory of Anxiety

Our anxiety often stems from an unresolved aspect within ourselves when it comes to the behavior of others!

When we have a trait that remains unresolved for us, we attract certain events into our lives to help us come to terms with and embrace that aspect.

We project our weaknesses onto others and tell others things that we should actually be telling ourselves.

The world is a mirror that constantly reflects our characteristics back to us! It shows us what we need to work on and understand within ourselves in order to grow and find inner peace. By being aware of this, we can start to take responsibility for our own unresolved issues and work towards resolving them, rather than blaming others or projecting our insecurities onto them.

I am very satisfied with reading this book.

An important concept in this book is "shadow". The shadow includes all the personality traits that we try to hide or deny. First of all, the life of the author of the book, her ups and downs in life, was very remarkable and educational for me, and that in the end she was able to find her way.

Some of the exercises in the book, such as listing our advice to others or listing the prejudices we have about others, were interesting and useful. But some of the exercises in the book, such as meditations and... were things that I could not recommend to another person and I did not know to what extent they were in line with our beliefs.

According to one of my dear friends, we can make the concepts of this book our own. Of course, with practice, practice, and more practice.

"We cannot have prejudices about someone until we have put ourselves in their place."

"The half-darkness of our existence is a storehouse for all the unacceptable aspects of us."

"If you believe that we have all the roles of humanity within us, you can be both the most admired person and the most despised person you can imagine."

At the beginning of the first chapter:

Often, when we can no longer tolerate the pain and suffering, we take a step forward in the path of growth and development. The book "The Dark Side of Existence" reveals that part of our personality that binds our relationships, suppresses our spirit, and prevents the realization of our dreams. Carl Jung names this part the shadow. The shadow includes all those personal characteristics that we try to hide or deny...

We may have certain qualities within us that we are ashamed of or afraid to admit. These could be traits like anger, envy, or greed. By suppressing or denying these aspects, we are not truly being honest with ourselves. Instead, we are pushing them into the shadow, where they can fester and cause problems in our lives.

However, by acknowledging and confronting our shadow, we can begin to integrate these aspects into our conscious selves. This process of integration can lead to a more complete and authentic sense of self. It allows us to embrace all parts of who we are, both the light and the dark, and to move forward on our path of growth and development with greater self-awareness and acceptance.

A useful and interesting book for accepting and understanding all the characteristics that exist in the conscious and unconscious level of human beings. Every human being has all the characteristics, and sometimes by denying and neglecting them, we deprive ourselves of freedom and personal growth. This book helps us in understanding and embracing all of our existence.

It provides valuable insights into the various aspects of our personality, both the known and the unknown. By reading this book, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and learn to accept and love all parts of us.

It also offers practical tips and strategies for personal growth and development, enabling us to overcome our limitations and achieve our full potential. Overall, this is a must-read book for anyone who is interested in self-discovery and personal transformation.

My favorite aspect of this book was the profound realization that everything I either cherish or detest about someone else is, in fact, an unspoken truth about myself.

It was an incredibly cool experience when I began to view others as mirrors reflecting my own qualities. Debbie Ford presents a practice that not only boosts confidence but also promotes honesty with oneself. As a result, it becomes easier to foster better relationships with others.

I started to observe how I am naturally attracted to those who closely resemble my self-perception. That is, the qualities I love in others are also present within me, and the things that drive me crazy about them might be areas where I need to make improvements.

This newfound understanding has truly transformed my perspective and has had a positive impact on my interactions with those around me.
