This whole story line is truly great.

However, this particular one offers two stories, which makes it even more captivating.

It is highly recommended to read the series in order.

By doing so, you can fully understand the development of the characters and the plot, and experience the full charm of the story.

Each book in the series builds on the previous one, adding new details and twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

So, if you're a fan of great stories, don't miss out on this series.

Start from the beginning and enjoy the journey.

I have been a long-time fan of Ms. Miller, and this book truly did not disappoint me.

From the very first page, I was completely engrossed in the story. The plot was engaging, filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.

The characters were well-developed, each with their own unique personalities and backstories. I found myself easily connecting with them and rooting for their success.

The writing style was also excellent. Ms. Miller has a way with words that makes the story come alive. Her descriptions were vivid, painting a clear picture in my mind of the settings and events.

Overall, I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Ms. Miller or enjoys a good read. It is definitely one that I will be adding to my collection and reading again in the future.

This is truly one of the finest books I've come across in a considerable period of time.

Linda's skill in interweaving the two families is simply remarkable. We have Sierra, Travis, and Liam from 2007, and Hannah, Doss, and Tobias from 1919. The touch of the paranormal added just the right amount of intrigue to make the story even more captivating.

These two sets of McKettrick women, Sierra and Hannah, both have a sense of not belonging. Sierra was taken away from her family at a young age by her father, while Hannah is the widow of Gabe McKettrick. However, through love and trust, they discover that they are as strong as the rest of the family, and it is love that makes them put down roots.

As a devoted fan of historical fiction, I have to admit that I favored Hannah and Doss' story the most, although both narratives were excellent. We get to see from two different time periods how mothers would go to any lengths for their children. The heroes, Doss and Travis, are both likable and loving men who truly cherish their heroines.

The only minor drawback for me was that there was no real explanation for how the two families saw each other through the years. But considering the overall strength of the story, it was able to hold its own without this explanation.

If you haven't had the pleasure of reading this book yet, I highly recommend adding it to your must-read list! You won't be disappointed.

A great book indeed! It had a unique narrative structure that jumped back and forth between 1919 and 2007. It was as if there was a mysterious element at play, something that seemed like a ghost but was actually a time portal. Through this time portal, the story unfolded in a fascinating way. First, the boys met each other. Their encounter was filled with curiosity and a sense of wonder. Then, as the story progressed, the mothers also crossed paths. The connection between the characters was beautifully developed, and it all came together to form a wonderful love story. I truly loved this book. It took me on a journey through time and made me feel a whole range of emotions. The author did an excellent job of creating a captivating and engaging story that kept me hooked from beginning to end.

I completely believe in the entire concept of the dual universe. As a result, I truly relished this book.

However, there is one aspect that bothered me. Despite the supposed "modern" setting, we are still portrayed as women engaged in traditional "chores" and taking care of our families.

It seems a bit outdated and doesn't quite align with the idea of a more progressive and equal society that one might expect in a story with a dual universe theme.

Nonetheless, the book offers nice and easy reading, which makes it enjoyable overall.

It has its strengths in terms of the dual universe concept and the way the story unfolds, but this one particular aspect could have been improved upon to make it more in line with modern ideals.

Perhaps in future installments or similar works, the author could explore more diverse and equal roles for women, breaking free from the traditional stereotypes that are often associated with them.

This would add an extra layer of depth and authenticity to the story, making it even more engaging for readers.

Overall, I still recommend the book for its interesting concept and easy readability, but with the hope that future works will address the issue of gender roles in a more progressive way.

Ever read a book from an author that you randomly picked or was given to you for review, and then you completely fell in love with the story and started searching for and reading the entire series? Well, that's exactly what happened to me with Linda Lael Miller.

I first read her work because I was approved for a Netgalley Review. Little did I know that she had a whole series of books. After reading that first one, I was hooked and thought, "Ohhh, I have to read more." And now, it has officially become my "for me" reading.

"Sierra's Homecoming (McKettricks, #5)" had a touch of the paranormal, but with the rich history and deep family connection, it felt more like a possibility than a typical paranormal theme. I really love this aspect of the series. The characters have a strong family bond and even a sense of pride, yet they also learn from their past mistakes.

This was the first book I've read in the McKettricks series, and I'm definitely going to read more! It was a great read that gave me a much-needed break from reading PNR and other genres that were on my "I NEED TO REVIEW" list. It was all about enjoying the story for myself.

And let's not forget the narrator. I "read" this via audio book, and they did an excellent job, which added even more to the enjoyment.

I'm excited to continue exploring the McKettricks series and see what other adventures and stories await me.

This is book #5 of 13 in the McKettrick series by Linda Lael Miller.

Unlike the previous installments in the series, this particular book took a rather different turn. The storyline deviated from the familiar pattern that had endeared the series to me in the first place.

I found myself not enjoying this book as much as the others. The characters seemed less developed, and the plot lacked the same level of excitement and intrigue.

However, I still hold out hope that the remaining books in the series will be better. Maybe this was just a minor setback, and the author will be able to recapture the magic that made the earlier books so engaging.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the story progresses and whether the subsequent installments will live up to my expectations.

This is the book that follows "McKettrick's Choice" and is meant to be the one that bridges the first four historical books to Ms. Miller's contemporary western series.

So, the reader is transported from September 30, 1888, as shown in the epilogue of "McKettrick's Choice" when Lorelei tells Holt she's pregnant, to January of 1919 and January of 2007.

I liked this story, but I became fixated on finding out who Sierra's grandfather was. Sadly, the author doesn't provide the reader with the convenience of a family tree at the beginning of the book. Oh no, she makes you work hard for it.

Based on the information given, it seems Tobias is Sierra's grandfather. In 1919, Tobias, the son of Gabe and Hannah, is eight years old, so his birth year is estimated to be 1911. Eve tells Sierra in 2007, when asked about the two million dollar trust fund, that she could take it up with her grandfather, but he's been dead for 15 years (since 1992).

I gave the book three stars because I'm not a fan of alternate universe concurrent time portals with ghosts making entries in journals, moving tea pots, or playing pianos. Also, if Angus was still alive when Gabe and Hannah were first married, he would have been very close to 100 years old, as Hannah tells the reader he attended their wedding. In "High Country Bride" (book 1), Angus was 75 years old in 1884, so I estimated his birth year to be around 1809.

I enjoyed Hannah and Doss' story more than Sierra and Travis'. I had trouble believing in the whole Eve, Meg, and Sierra family dynamic. Maybe this will become clearer in a later book?

UPDATE: I was wrong. Tobias is NOT Sierra's grandfather according to what Jesse tells Cheyenne in book #6 (which I'm currently reading). A McKettrick family tree chart would be very much appreciated by this reader.

I must say that I did not enjoy this one at all.

From the very beginning, it seemed to lack the charm and appeal that I was hoping for.

The story or the subject matter, whatever it was, failed to capture my interest and hold my attention.

I found myself constantly looking for something more engaging, something that would make me want to continue reading or experiencing it.

But alas, it never came.

The overall execution felt flat and uninteresting, as if the creator had not put in enough effort or thought into making it a truly enjoyable piece.

Perhaps it was the writing style, or maybe it was the lack of a clear and captivating plot.

Whatever the reason may be, I cannot help but feel disappointed with this one.

I had high expectations, but unfortunately, they were not met.

I hope that in the future, the creator will take the necessary steps to improve and create something that is truly worth enjoying.

I absolutely loved this book!

The author's ability to seamlessly weave the two stories together was truly remarkable and highly interesting. It kept me engaged from start to finish.

Out of the entire series, this one is probably my favorite. It offers a unique and captivating narrative that stands out.

Moreover, it's a quick and entertaining read. I found myself breezing through the pages, eager to discover what would happen next.

The characters are well-developed, and the plot is full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an enjoyable and engaging read.

This is an excellent read that truly captivated my attention.

I'm not typically a fan of the paranormal or time travel genre, but this story managed to break my usual aversion.

It masterfully combined the stories of Hannah and Doss with those of Sierra and Travis. The way the storylines intertwined was so seamless that I found myself on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating what would happen next in each one.

The parallels between the hardships faced by the characters were profound and added a layer of depth to the narrative. At the same time, the romances that developed were sweet and heartwarming.

Surprisingly, Hannah, who lived in 1919, felt more real to me than Sierra. There was something about her character and her story that made her come alive on the page.

Overall, this is a story that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an engaging and unique read.

This book was truly remarkable.

It actually consisted of two captivating love stories.

The first one was set in the present and revolved around Sierra and Travis. Their relationship was filled with passion and tenderness, as they navigated the challenges of modern life together.

The second story took place in the past, between Hannah and Doss. Despite the time difference of approximately 90 years, their love story was equally enchanting.

Both stories were unfolding simultaneously, creating a unique and engaging narrative.

The author did an excellent job of weaving the two plots together, making it impossible to put the book down.

I would highly recommend this book to all romance lovers. It is a beautiful and heartwarming read that will leave you with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart.
