When she moved to her family's ancestral ranch, single mom Sierra McKettrick was disconcerted by the Triple M's handsome caretaker, Travis Reid. But when her son claimed to see a mysterious boy in the house, and an heirloom teapot started popping up in unexpected places, Sierra wondered if the attraction between herself and Travis might be the least of her worries. In 1919, widowed Hannah McKettrick lived at the ranch with her son and her brother-in-law, Doss. Her confused feelings for Doss and her son's health problems occupied all her thoughts...until the family teapot started disappearing. Could Sierra and her ancestor, Hannah, be living parallel lives?

The daughter of a town marshal, Linda Lael Miller is a #1 New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of more than 100 historical and contemporary novels, most of which reflect her love of the West. Raised in Northport, Washington, Linda pursued her wanderlust, living in London and Arizona and traveling the world before returning to the state of her birth to settle down on a spacious property outside Spokane.
Linda traces the birth of her writing career to the day when a Northport teacher told her that the stories she was writing were good, that she just might have a future in writing. Later, when she decided to write novels, she endured her share of rejection before she sold Fletcher's Woman in 1983 to Pocket Books. Since then, Linda has successfully published historicals, contemporaries, paranormals, mysteries and thrillers before coming home, in a literal sense, and concentrating on novels with a Western flavor. For her devotion to her craft, the Romance Writers of America awarded her their prestigious Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
Long a passionate Civil War buff, Linda has studied the era avidly for almost thirty years. She has read literally hundreds of books on the subject, explored numerous battlegrounds and made many visits to her favorite, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where she has witnessed re-enactments of the legendary clash between North and South. Linda explores that turbulent time in The Yankee Widow, a May 7, 2019 MIRA Books hardcover, also available in digital and audiobook formats.
Dedicated to helping others, “The First Lady of the West” personally financed fifteen years of her Linda Lael Miller Scholarships for Women, which she awarded to women 25 years and older who were seeking to improve their lot in life through education. She anticipates that her next charitable endeavors will benefit four-legged critters.

Captivating! Provocative. Engrossing. These are the words that come to mind when I think about this book.

I was initially expecting a sweetly sizzling contemporary romance, something light and enjoyable. However, what I got was so much more. It was a deep read that completely enthralled me with two parallel stories.

The characters in this book are extraordinarily strong, yet they are also flawed. There were times when I just wanted to shake some sense into them, they were so frustrating. But that's what made them so real and engaging.

As much as I loved the characters, it is the story that truly compels. It haunts you with its riveting appeal, making it impossible to put down. The way the individual stories mirror each other, yet are also different, is fascinating.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It exceeded my expectations and left me with a sense of satisfaction. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a deep and engaging read.

I got goosebumps upon reading this.

It was such a spine-chilling experience that I immediately remembered why I don't usually read horror or thriller.

I am someone who easily gets afraid. The slightest hint of something eerie or suspenseful is enough to send shivers down my spine.

I prefer to stick to genres that are more comforting and less likely to give me nightmares.

While I understand that some people enjoy the thrill of being scared, it's just not for me.

I'll leave the horror and thriller books to those who have a stronger stomach for it.

Instead, I'll focus on reading stories that make me feel good and leave me with a sense of warmth and satisfaction.

After all, reading should be a pleasurable experience, not one that makes me want to hide under the covers.

It was an okay book.

The story had its moments, but it didn't really stand out. The characters were somewhat interesting, but they could have been developed more fully. The plot was a bit predictable, and there weren't many surprises along the way.

However, the writing style was decent, and it was easy to read. The author did a good job of setting the scene and creating a certain atmosphere.

Overall, it was an okay read. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. If you're looking for a light and easy book to pass the time, this one might do the trick. But if you're looking for something more engaging and thought-provoking, you might want to look elsewhere.

Not a bad book for a romance book. Sierra and Hannah weren't as strong willed as the other female characters in Miller's books, and that is what I enjoy the most about the McKettricks. The story of Sierra and Hannah unfolds in a charming and engaging way. Their characters bring a different kind of charm to the narrative. Sierra might not be as assertive as some of the others, but her gentle nature and vulnerability make her endearing. Hannah, too, has her own unique qualities that shine through. Despite not being the typical strong-willed heroines, they have their own strengths and personalities that make them stand out. The McKettricks series as a whole is known for its interesting characters and captivating storylines. In this particular installment, the relationship between Sierra and Hannah develops in a way that keeps the reader hooked from start to finish. It's a story that explores love, friendship, and the challenges that come with both. Overall, it's a great addition to the McKettricks series and a must-read for fans of romance novels.

I absolutely adored the story of the two McKettrick women. However, Hannah and Doss captivated me in a way that I am completely in love with this couple. There was that palpable feeling that bound them together, and it left me with a sense of longing for more. I don't know, but in this couple, the emotion was so intense.

As for Sierra and Travis, it seemed like pure attraction. If there is any deeper feeling, it will surely emerge with time.
Now, I am eagerly waiting for the story of Sierra's sister, Meg.
This book is highly recommended!!!
I simply adore it!!!

It's a wonderful read that takes you on a journey through the lives and loves of these remarkable women. The author has done a great job of creating engaging characters and a captivating storyline. I can't wait to see what adventures Meg will have in her own story.

Whether you're a fan of romance or just looking for a good read, this book is definitely worth checking out.

Sierra Mc Kettrick is on her way home.

She is going to a place she has never seen before, to meet a mother she has never known. And she is bringing with her a son, Liam, who could pass away at any moment.

This is an amazing way to begin a story. As part of the McKettrick Women series, Sierra and Liam will have connections to the McKettrick family that they could never have dreamed of.

There are haunted teapots and picture albums, as well as the struggle to stay alive and cope with sorrow. Not to mention the steamy encounters with men who seem all wrong for the McKetterick women... or are they?

You will be completely captivated by Sierra and her 1919 ancestor Hannah as their stories intertwine. This delicious book is so engaging that you will want to indulge and read it all in one sitting. I know I couldn't put it down!

It's a story full of mystery, romance, and family drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.

This story is an interesting one as it is split between the past and the present.

In it, there are ghosts that have the mischievous habit of moving a family teapot around.

It's not a spooky kind of story, but rather a fun and light-hearted one that keeps you engaged.

The idea of the ghosts playing tricks with the teapot adds an element of mystery and entertainment.

I have a particular fondness for cowboy stories, and this one seems to have a unique charm of its own.

It combines the supernatural with a touch of the old west, creating a blend that is both captivating and enjoyable.

Whether you're a fan of ghost stories or cowboy tales, this one is sure to have something to offer.

It's a story that you can relax and enjoy, letting your imagination run wild as you follow the antics of the ghosts and the family's teapot.

Overall, it's a fun and engaging read that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of entertainment.

Another quick read is a corny romance novel that surprisingly offers an interesting twist.

It features women from different centuries. Each of these women has a child and is associated with a hot man who seems to always be around.

Interestingly, they all happen to share a house.

The story unfolds as the women from different eras interact and deal with the challenges and attractions that come their way.

The presence of the children adds an extra layer of complexity and charm to the narrative.

The hot men, with their alluring qualities, further fuel the romantic tensions within the story.

Despite its corny nature, the novel manages to engage readers with its unique premise and the dynamics between the characters.

It offers a light-hearted and entertaining read that combines elements of romance, history, and mystery.

Overall, it's a book that can provide a quick escape into a world of love and adventure.
