For me, it was a little slower to fall in love with this story, but I truly did like the interconnection of the story lines.

It took some time for me to follow along and really enjoy it. And oh my, what a scorching hot scene there was in the old story behind a door! WOW!!

This is one of the better LLMiller books that I have read. It has the modern-day McKettricks intertwined with the McKettricks from the past. It seems that no matter what, I just love those McKettricks.

I found myself cheering for many of these characters. I would highly recommend this as a great read for anyone who enjoys a winter love story. It has all the elements to keep you engaged and entertained throughout.

The author has done a wonderful job of creating a world that you can easily get lost in and characters that you can't help but root for.

So, if you're looking for a good book to curl up with on a cold winter's day, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.

The book continuously bounces back and forth between around 2007 and 1919.

At times, this made me really confused about which century I was actually in and what specific events were unfolding in each era.

I also had the distinct feeling that there was a whole lot more to both Hannah's and Sierra's stories than what was presented to me. This left me with a vague sense of dissatisfaction by the end of the book.

However, on the other hand, I truly loved the concept of "The Lady".

Moreover, Liam was extremely believable as a gifted seven-year-old child. This is not an easy feat to achieve when trying to convey it to the reader, but Ms. Miller did an excellent job in this regard.

Overall, the book had its strengths and weaknesses, but it definitely kept me engaged throughout.

This was truly neat! There were two stories unfolding simultaneously. One was set in the present time, while the other took place in 1919, yet both occurred in the same house. It was a haunted house, which added an air of mystery and intrigue.

In 1919, Hannah and Dosh McKettrick resided in the house. Fast forward to 2007, and Sierra and her son were now living in the very same abode. There was a rather curious phenomenon regarding a teapot. It kept being found misplaced by both Hannah and Dosh in the past, and also by Sierra and her son in the present.

This book delved into some rather heavy themes, including the death of a child. The loss of a child is always a tragic and heart-wrenching event, and it added an element of sadness and poignancy to the overall narrative. As the two stories intertwined, readers were left on the edge of their seats, eager to discover how the past and present would ultimately collide and what secrets the haunted house held.

This series presents an interesting story that巧妙地blends the historical and contemporary elements.

The way the author weaves these two different time periods together is truly remarkable. It allows the readers to not only enjoy an engaging narrative but also gain a deeper understanding of the past and its connection to the present.

The historical details are presented in a vivid and accurate manner, making the story come alive. At the same time, the contemporary aspects add a sense of relevance and immediacy, making it easy for the readers to relate to the characters and their experiences.

Overall, this series is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a good story that combines history and modern-day life. It is a great way to learn about the past while also being entertained in the present.

I'm currently making an attempt to read the entire collection of McKettrick books. This particular book had a somewhat distinct flavor compared to what I'm accustomed to.

Nonetheless, it managed to blend the past with the present in a rather engaging and efficient way. From what I can gather here, it seems to be a present-day reading experience.

I truly relished the 'other world' encounter it provided. However, I did find that the characters' development felt a bit too hasty.

For instance, we're told that Sierra will be there for a year, but then we only get to see her for a total of five days. And within those five days, there's been a marriage and a pregnancy.

It all seems a bit rushed and makes it hard to fully connect with the characters and their story.

I'm really hoping that McKettrick's Luck, the next book in the series perhaps, will offer a more satisfying reading experience.

Maybe the characters will have more time to unfold and the story will develop at a more natural pace.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and looking forward to delving into it.

I did have a certain liking for this book. However, I also experienced a great sense of loss and disappointment. The book was titled "Sierra's Homecoming," yet there was surprisingly little content dedicated to Sierra herself.

All of a sudden, Travis has sex with her and claims to love her? It really makes me feel as if I've missed out on something crucial.

On the other hand, the story involving Hanna was quite good. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that the focus should have been more on Sierra, Lia, and Travis.

Despite these shortcomings, it is still a relatively good book. It has its own charm and engaging elements that managed to hold my attention throughout.

I just wish that the author had given more prominence to the characters and themes that were initially promised by the title.

This particular volume stands out from the rest of the books in the series.

I thoroughly relished delving into the lives of two distinct families and their respective eras simultaneously.

It was truly fascinating to witness how two separate stories unfolded within the very same house, with a time gap of nearly a hundred years.

The way the author wove these two narratives together was masterful, creating a seamless and engaging reading experience.

Each family had its own unique set of challenges, joys, and secrets, which added depth and complexity to the overall story.

I was constantly on the edge of my seat, eager to discover what would happen next in both timelines.

As I turned the final page, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the next book in the series.

I can't wait to see what new adventures and revelations await me.

I like this book more than I initially thought I would. At first, I was rather skeptical about the idea of switching back and forth between different periods. However, as I delved deeper into the story, I found myself really enjoying this unique narrative structure. It added an extra layer of depth and intrigue to the plot.

One aspect that I felt could have been explored further was Sierra's relationship with her mother. I was really interested in learning more about their dynamic, the history between them, and how it influenced Sierra's character and decisions.

Despite this minor drawback, I have to say that overall, this book was a great read. It kept me engaged from start to finish, and I found myself constantly eager to turn the page to see what would happen next. The author did a wonderful job of creating a vivid and immersive world that I was more than happy to get lost in.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story with interesting characters and a unique plot. It's definitely one that I will be thinking about for a long time to come.

Two parallel stories unfold within one, separated by a span of one hundred years. In both tales, we encounter single moms with only one child. These women find themselves hesitant to embark on a romantic relationship with a new boyfriend, mainly due to the issue of trust.

The first story takes place in the past, where a single mom named Emily has been through a difficult marriage and divorce. She is now raising her son on her own and is extremely cautious about letting someone new into their lives. She is afraid of getting hurt again and of subjecting her son to another failed relationship.

In the present day, we meet Sarah, a young single mom who has also had her share of heartbreak. She is worried about trusting a new man and opening up to him, especially when it comes to introducing him to her daughter. She fears that the relationship may not work out and that it will have a negative impact on her child.

Both Emily and Sarah struggle with the decision of whether or not to take a chance on love again. They must weigh the potential benefits of a new relationship against the risks and uncertainties. Will they be able to overcome their fears and trust again? Only time will tell.
