The movie was fantastic and so was the book version. I love the feeling, I love the language, I love the relationship between the friends, and I love the way-too-smart thoughts that the twelve-year-olds have. I do think it's even better in the original language. (I read it in Swedish even though I'm writing this in the English version - it hasn't been released separately in Swedish but in a collection.) However, it's very, very good!! This story truly captured my heart. The characters were so vivid and relatable, and the plot was engaging from start to finish. The movie did a great job of bringing the book to life, but there were still some details that I missed from the written version. Overall, I would highly recommend both the movie and the book to anyone who enjoys a good coming-of-age story.
