Rated it five because it somehow helped me.

I don't know about others, but most of the things explained in this book made sense to me.

For example, there are certain foods that I naturally hated eating even before I found and read this book. Every time I ate them, I noticed that they upset my stomach, made me feel extremely bloated or sluggish, and so on. So, I avoided them as much as possible.

The same goes for the foods that are my favorites. I'm not sure why they're my favorites, but all of them are listed as highly beneficial for my blood type, and the ones I hated are the ones I need to avoid. I checked my husband's and it's the same.

No wonder! I love this book! I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about how their diet can affect their health. It provides valuable information that can help you make better choices about what you eat and improve your overall well-being.

This seems so intuitively right.

I'm giving it a whirl! :D

However, after further exploration, the situation has changed.

OK. This has some limited value in describing some of the processes of disease.

But the recommendations of the author are almost all "follow protocol XYZ" or what herbal supplements to use.

What I really wanted were specific food recommendations and/or avoidances.

Unfortunately, this source failed to provide such detailed and practical information.

I can better get this info from other sources. :(

It's a bit disappointing as I had initially hoped to find comprehensive dietary advice here.

Nonetheless, I will continue my search for reliable sources that can offer the specific food-related guidance I need.

Maybe the next source will prove to be more useful and fulfilling.

Not my favorite resource

There are various resources available to us, but this particular one fails to capture my interest. It might lack the necessary features or qualities that I look for in a resource. Maybe it's not presented in an engaging or user-friendly way. The content could be outdated or not relevant to my needs. It could also be that there are other resources out there that simply offer a better alternative. Despite its existence, it doesn't manage to stand out and become my go-to choice. It may have some redeeming qualities, but overall, it just doesn't click with me. I'm always on the lookout for resources that can truly enhance my experience and provide me with the value I'm seeking. Until then, this particular resource will remain on the periphery of my preferences.

This was a truly thought-provoking read.

It was recommended by an older, trim woman whom I complimented for her healthy appearance.

The research presented in the book seems quite solid as it is based on science.

However, I did notice that the book is now 20 years old, and there have been significant changes both in growing food, such as the introduction of GMO's in farming, and the emergence of new viruses that were not around then.

My guess is that Dr. D'Adamo would still give the same advice as he does in the book: eat organic and raw whenever possible.

Ironically, I'm still in the process of confirming my blood type since I'm not a donor and it's been more than 10 years since I last visited the hospital.

I'm guessing I am Type O based on my Mom's blood type.

If that's the case, I will need to make some adjustments to my diet to follow this plan, as currently I eat more like a Type A.

I especially found the sections on disease treatment using the Blood Type diet and the case studies to be quite interesting and convincing.

Overall, this book has given me a lot to think about regarding my diet and health.

I have discovered the anthropological foundation of blood types and the proposed connection between the ideal diet for a specific blood type, considering its evolution, good health, and the reduction of inflammation.

Interestingly, the foods that I, being a type O, should refrain from are either those that I don't have a great interest in or are already on the list of foods my naturopath has advised me to avoid. In my case, these include sugar, alcohol, wheat, and other grains. She suggested that I read this book several years ago.

I highly recommend this book to be a part of your library as you strive to maintain good health. Generally, this helps to stabilize hormone balance and mood. However, I do wish that there had been more comprehensive scientific references within the book.

Nonetheless, it provides valuable insights into the relationship between blood types and diet, which can be beneficial for those looking to optimize their health and well-being.
