The story had a very unexpected ending. It was like a plot twist that came out of nowhere.

Just when you thought you had everything figured out, the author threw in a curveball.

The resolution was tied in too neat of a bow, almost as if it was too perfect.

It made you wonder if the author was trying to wrap things up too quickly or if there was something more beneath the surface.

Despite the unexpected ending and the overly neat bow, the story still managed to keep you engaged until the very end.

It made you think about the possibilities and the different ways the story could have ended.

Overall, it was a unique and interesting read that left you with a sense of wonder and a desire to know more.

Really easy to read!

The suspense in this book was truly captivating, keeping me engaged from start to finish.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the whole Criminal Law aspect of it. It might be because of my Theodore Boone era, which had a similar theme.

However, there was one thing that was a little off for me. It was a bit difficult for me to connect the dots and break the mystery along with the book and plot.

Although the ending was very much climactic until the very end, somehow, the way it ended didn't feel very satisfying.

Overall, it is a great and easy read on the topic of Criminal Law, with an entertaining plot that will surely keep you hooked.

Despite the minor flaws, it's still a book that I would recommend to those who are interested in the subject or just looking for a good mystery to solve.

Ah, I just can't help but express my excitement. I truly love this book! It's my very first Margolin, and I must say, it's been a wonderful discovery. Even though it was published 17 years ago, the legal terms are presented in a way that is both clear and engaging. The ending is simply amazing and stands out as my absolute favorite part. However, there is one little issue that I have with it. For a thriller-action book, the identity of the suspect was rather obvious to me. But despite that, it still managed to hold my attention and keep me on the edge of my seat.

P.S. This is currently my favorite thriller book.

P.P.S. I purchased this book right after the USC Entrance Exams.

P.P.P.S. And here's the amazing part - I bought it for just 15 pesos at a book sale! 15 pesos! Can you believe it? That's an absolute steal. And now, without a doubt, this is officially my favorite legal-thriller book [AS OF THE MOMENT].

This is one of Philip Margolin's early novels.

It features the protagonist, David Nash, who starts to have doubts about the legal system. This occurs after he has emerged victorious in several trials where the defendants were rather amoral.

David is then glad to take on a case where he is nearly certain that the client is innocent. The client is a fellow lawyer with a good reputation. However, things take a complicated turn when he meets the client's wife and discovers that she is the woman with whom he had a brief affair.

In an action that would surely be regarded as questionable in terms of professional ethics, David continues to defend Larry Stafford while also having an affair with his wife on the side.

David Nash is a clever lawyer, but he is not very admirable. He becomes really psychologically preoccupied with the varying degrees of guilt or innocence.

The ending does have a neat little twist. Originally published in 1981, this novel is not as developed as Margolin's later works. Nevertheless, Margolin still stands out above many other writers, and this novel would likely please most fans of mysteries and courtroom thrillers.

Overall, it offers an engaging story with complex characters and a plot that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

This is an early stand-alone story from Margolin.

The story centers around a highly influential criminal attorney who is at the peak of his career. Suddenly, he is confronted with a serious ethical and moral dilemma. The question of what is truth and what constitutes the greater good comes into play.

One can't help but be curious about how his decision will unfold in the later stages of his life. It's a good read. Although some of the interactions between the police and the suspect might not hold up in today's technological age, this doesn't detract from the overall storyline.

The narrative keeps the reader engaged, making them eager to see how the attorney navigates through this complex situation and what the consequences of his choices will be.

It's a thought-provoking tale that explores the gray areas between right and wrong, and the impact that our decisions can have on our lives and those around us.

Pedestrian ok.

This simple statement holds a certain significance. It implies that the pedestrian is in a state of being okay, perhaps safe and unharmed.

Read maybe another will be ok. This line seems to suggest that by reading or observing something else, there is a possibility that another situation or person will also be okay.

Yeah just filling up the 7 more words on the review done. It appears that the author is simply adding some words to meet a certain requirement or complete a review.

Ok

In conclusion, the text seems to be a random collection of thoughts and statements, perhaps lacking a clear overall theme or purpose. However, it does touch on the concepts of safety, possibility, and the act of fulfilling a task.

Easy To Read ~ Entertaining ~ Haunting - Page-Turner ~ Realistic ~ Twisted ~ Unpredictable ~ Wonderful Characters

This is a truly remarkable book that combines multiple qualities to create an engaging reading experience.

It is extremely interesting, filled with captivating storylines that draw you in from the very beginning. The entertainment value is high, ensuring that you are thoroughly engaged throughout. What's more, it is easy to read, making it accessible to a wide range of readers.

Along the way, there are enough twists and turns to keep you constantly guessing. You'll find yourself on the edge of your seat, eager to discover what will happen next. Margolin is truly one of the best when it comes to writing this type of book. This particular work was one of the early ones in his writing career, and it was precisely this book that made me fall head over heels in love with his writing.

Over the years, he has only gotten better, but this early gem still holds its own. If you are a fan of legal dramas, then you simply cannot go wrong with this book. It is a must-read that will leave you satisfied and craving more of Margolin's masterful storytelling.

Margolin has a remarkable talent for twisting the plot in a most unexpected manner.

The novel was captivating from start to finish, constantly keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. However, towards the end of the book, I couldn't help but feel that the events weren't fully developed.

There were certain storylines that seemed rushed or left unresolved, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the annoyance factor of the characters themselves also detracted from the overall reading experience.

Some of the characters' actions and decisions were frustrating and made it difficult to fully engage with them. While the book had its strengths, these two aspects prevented it from receiving a higher rating.

Despite this, Margolin's writing style and ability to create a thrilling and engaging plot are still值得称赞. I would still recommend this book to fans of mystery and thriller genres, but with the caveat that they may be left with some unanswered questions and a few frustrating moments.

An early Margolin novel that is, at best, average.

It does have a few twists here and there as the story progresses. However, it fails to be a real page turner in any sense.

The plot doesn't have that irresistible pull that makes you eager to keep turning the pages.

The characters are not developed deeply enough to fully engage the reader's emotions.

While there are some moments that show Margolin's potential as a writer, overall, this early work falls short of being a truly outstanding novel.

It may be interesting for fans of Margolin to see how his writing has evolved over the years, but for those looking for a thrilling and captivating read, this novel may not be the best choice.

The movie I watched recently was not great.

It barely managed to hold my attention throughout.

The story, which should have been the driving force behind the movie, was rather平淡无奇.

It lacked excitement and failed to draw me in.

The character development was also quite weak.

The characters seemed one-dimensional and didn't really evolve or change throughout the movie.

There was no real depth to them, and as a result, I didn't really care about what happened to them.

Overall, I would give this movie one point for the story and one point for the character development.

It was a disappointing experience, and I would not recommend it to others.

It was just okay. There was really nothing special about it.

It was all about lawyers, a murder, and trials. The story seemed rather ordinary.

Lawyers were arguing back and forth, presenting their cases.

The details of the murder were perhaps a bit grisly, but not overly so.

The trials dragged on, with witnesses being called and evidence being presented.

But in the end, it all felt a bit like the same old thing.

There was no real excitement or drama to keep one on the edge of their seat.

It was just another run-of-the-mill legal drama that failed to truly capture one's attention.

Maybe there were some interesting aspects that I missed, but overall, it was a rather forgettable experience.
