The story of Talon, a cursed and lonely Dark Hunter, and Sunshine, a forgetful, sunshiny artist.

The two make an unlikely pair, being vastly different in every aspect, but there's intense chemistry between them that deepens and develops into more. Their road is far from easy, though, considering that Talon was cursed by a vengeful god to lose every human he ever comes to love, on top of the usual obstacles his being a Dark Hunter would pose.



What starts as a one-time thing between them turns out to be a lot more when it comes to light that Sunshine is actually Talon's long lost wife and only love's reincarnation which brings a whole new set of issues on the table.

Very extensive, intricate world, with various groups that I'm curious to learn more about, with Acheron being the one on top of the list. Unfortunately, his story doesn't come until book 8, so I'll have to be patient and enjoy the ones that come before it first, starting with misunderstood Zarek's story next in Dance with the Devil.

They just keep getting better! This is Talon's story. I really like him and feel his pain through the entire book. Sunshine is ok--a little spacey--but not too bad. Its Mardi-Gras and Acheron has to call in reinforcements to handle the extra daimons that will be out during the festival. He sends for Zarek,the psycho, who has been basically banished to Alaska for hundreds of years. Zarek comes off as a bad ass you don't want to mess with, but I liked him. There were moments when you could tell he was wanted to reach out to people, but when he was rejected he just covered it up with rage. We also meet Vane, a were-hunter. Acheron has a very big role in this book, and we learn a bit about his past, he has an evil twin--Styxx, his relationship with Artemis, and more. I was happy to see they each get their own stories later on.

Relectura, marzo 2021: Esta entrega es más extensa que las anteriores pero también da mucha información que tendrá relevancia en varios de los futuros libros, no pueden perderse esta saga.

Esta es, depende desde donde se la mire, la tercera o cuarta entrega de la serie de los Cazadores Oscuros, más conocidos como Dark Hunters.
Talon de los Morrigantes es un espécimen que no se encuentra en cualquier lado, guerrero celta por ascendencia, tiene ciertos poderes particulares que sus hermanos cazadores no, y sabe utilizarlos, tanto en la batalla como en su vida diaria.
Con un pasado sumamente dramático, hasta cierto punto es un alma llena de ira y dolor, pero el futuro le deparará algo que ni siquiera se espera, aunque para llegar a ese momento deberá pasar por mucho.
Sunshine Runningwolf, es una artista con toda las letras, y posee una personalidad muy particular, es una eterna olvidadiza, que dice todo lo que se le viene a la cabeza sin pensar y que no tiene reparos en demostrar lo que desea. Y no será menos al momento de cruzarse con nuestro apuesto celta.
El mundo se divide en dos bandos, unos confabulados para el mal y otros para el bien, y debemos descubrir quiénes integran cada bando, qué es lo que planean y qué logran al final.
Esta es una de las historias más logradas por Sherrilyn, posee pasión, humor, lucha, amistad, y mucho más. Las escenas más desopilantes se mezclan con las más dramáticas y con las más apasionadas.
Una novela imperdible dentro de una saga imperdible, así que por supuesto no dejen de leerla, que no se arrepentirán.

Eeeeeeeehhhhh... No.

Que decepcionada estoy con esta novela.
Mi gran problema con ella han sido las expectativas y que yo me imaginé un Talon diferente al conocerle en su anterior entrega. Una pena, le tenía tantísimas ganas a esta novela.
Se ha notado mucho que la novela no me ha acabado de convencer, he tardado mucho en acabar el libro y tampoco me apetecía cogerlo para continuarlo. Los capítulos son muchísimos mas largos que en las anteriores entregas y algunos se me han hecho interminables.
Talon no me ha gustado, no porque sea mala persona, si no porque lo veo un clon a Kyrian, se parecen en muchísimos aspectos menos en 3 o 4 cosillas (menos el físico), me pareció un copia y pega de personajes. Aun que gracias a dios Kyrian es la copia buena y Talon la mala ya que no hace absolutamente nada en toda la novela, simplemente meter en lios a los personajes de su alrededor con la excusa de su amor a Sunshine. Me ha repateado este personaje, por no hablar de lo celoso y agresivo que es....
Sunshine en cambio me ha gustado mucho, tiene algo especial para ver la esencia de otras personas, es la única que ha visto con buenos ojos a Zarek. Sunshine es divertida y tiene ganas de comerse el mundo.
La relación entre ellos no me ha gustado, me pareció absurdo que SPOILER fuese su mujer reencarnada, ya que dejo a la altura del betun a los sentimientos que tenian Kyrian y Julian por sus esposas (aunque fueran unas brujas), odié este aspecto de la trama. Creo que Talon tendría que haber pasado página, ya que ahora seguro que no lo podrá hacer. FIN SPOILER.
Aunque bueno de relación tienen poco, ya que lo único que harán en tener sexo una vez tras otra, prácticamente ni interactuaran en toda la novela y tras 4 polvazos ya estarán juntos toda la vida.
Sunshine se merece algo muchísimo mejor.
Aunque bueno sí, no os voy a decir que no tienen momentos bonitos, que los tienen, pero para mí no significaron mucho. Prefiero mil veces los dos primeros libros.
Lo único bueno que tiene esta novela es que nos profundiza muchísimos más en el mundo de los Cazadores Oscuros, conoceremos muchos más secretos que harán que quieras continuar con esta larguísima saga.
Y bueno lo top de esta novela son Zarek, Aqueron y Vane. Me han enamorado y estoy deseando ponerme ya con sus novelas, me dejaron con los dientes largos.

I loved Talon and Sunshines story.

We learn a lot more about the Dark Hunters in this book that will probably lead to other books, I sure hope so.

We know that Talon is a Dark Hunter whos soul is owned by Artemis and that from the previous books we know how ones true love can release them from their immortality and make them human again.

Well when Talon meets Sunshine, he learns that she was born with his past wifes soul and he starts having feelings again and the past memories is brought forth for him to deal with. Their romance is hot and so sweet and I love how they have so much respect for each other.

In the end, Talon and Sunshine learn that Sunshine's grandmother is the goddess Morgan after Sunshine has gien Talon his soul back, but the real shocker is, Morgan tells them that they are both immortal so they can live their lives together for eternity.

Lots of other things happen in this book. For instance, we learn that Dionysus is Artemis brother. Acheron has a twin brother named Styxx. Valerius and Zarek are brothers.

All these new facts will hopefully be revealed more in the future books. I especially want to know more about Zarek and his brother Valerius to see if they can forgive their past and have a brotherly relationship. Same goes for Acheron and his brother Styxx.

Also some new characters were introduced, Vane and Fang - the werewolves - Ihope she writes a story on them. Also the werebears were introduced so that ought to be interesting to learn more about them and maybe even the werepanthers.

Over all, this was a great story.

It wasn't bad actually... but it also wasn't a great read. What I said about the first book, stands for me:

I have been told by so many that I would LOVE this author + that the earlier books in this series are gold... so I had to check it out. Here's my verdict:
1. Don't like this world. It just doesn't make sense to me. To be in this "dark hunters" club you have to have had such a F'ed up life/betrayed/etc. that when you die you catch the goddesses notice and she turns you into a creature of the night - soulless + unable to view sun + under contract to fight bad guys forevers.
2. To get your life back you must find true love. Apparently, in this author's mind, sex is a cure-all. (eww)
3. Once your soul is back to you, you're no longer a dark hunter.

Ok... so you find happiness + get your soul back. Great. But now? You're NOT a dark hunter. Which is fine I guess... except... won't this totally deplete the "good guys" to the point that the bad soul sucker guys will eventually win if this series goes on??? Plus doesn't it make things predictable/boring if every book is going to be this way?

Ahhhhhhhhh Litterally read this book in just one day, Once I started I just couldn't put it down, I loved this book the first time I read it years ago and LOVED it just as much the second time around. Talon and Sunshine's stroy is beautiful one, where do I start with this book, It's HOT and STEAMY and everything in between. Lots of my favorite characters are introduced as well, Wren, Vane, Valerius, Zarek, Fang. and the GODS are explained more in this 3rd book in the series. The relationship between Artemis and Acheron, it's just so complicated, and knowing what happends later in the series it's just so heartbreaking to read what is happening now.

Night Embrace is the amazing story of Talon and Sunshine.

Sunshine comes from a carefree and loving family. Filled with laughter and friendship, Sunshine leads the sweet life of an artist. Drowning in pink and purple flowers while singing Puff the Magic Dragon, she is everything that will drive Talon up the wall. Or seduce him with amusement.

“You know, Sunshine, you need to find a man like that to marry. Someone so well hung that even after three or four kids, he’d still be wall to wall.”

Talon gaped. Sunshine laughed.

Talon, another Dark-Hunter with a tragic past, protects humans through the centuries of loneliness. Calm and collected, he has one mission in life. Protect and survive. Forcing the emotions and pain of betrayal, he glides along the way through the days, years and centuries without mourning the loss of his wife, his son and his family.

“Never let anyone know you. Never give them a chance to realize you don’t age. Move through the darkness ever watchful, ever alert. We are all that stands between the humans and slavery. Without us, they all die and their souls are lost forever. Our responsibilities are great. Our battles numerous and legendary. We are Dark-Hunters. We are forever powerful. We are forever alone.”

Acheron becomes more engrossed in this book. Kenyon gives you a few glances into his past that will leave you frustrated with curiosity. No worries! His novel will be read before you know it!

Fighting their love for one another, Talon and Sunshine are soul mates. Reincarnated with Talon’s wife’s soul, they are extremely attracted and are unable to keep their hands to themselves

This book is far more sexual than Night Pleasures or Fantasy Lover.

Many characters are introduced in this book. I love most of them and I look forward to rereading their stories!

Vane and Fang, wolves who can take human form, repay a debt to Acheron and form a temporary alliance. With this, the book unravels many stories to come. This book is a MUST read if you plan on continuing with the other books in this series.

I recommend this book to mature adults only. Although this book is filled with paranormal yumminess, I highly advise against allowing a teenager or child to read this series. People tend to forget that children are indeed children and NOT young adults. This book is not for innocent eyes.

Extremely delectable sexual and violent content.

Tengo que admitir que este libro es uno de mis menos favoritos, pero la idea que hay sobre almas gemelas sumada a la aparición de Styxx y Zarek, AHH me encanta.
No es una historia que tenga mucho desarrollo en términos de como avanza la pareja principal, tampoco es que los anteriores tengan un gran progreso, pero hay más espacio para conocerlos... fuera de lo que hacen en el dormitorio.

Así que técnicamente es un 3.5-3.8-4
