Shopaholism aside, I initially found Becky to be a very irresponsible person. From not writing the self-help book for which she was paid, daydreaming on live television about her New York trip and it goes on. But she really came through in the end. She saved Luke's company, anonymously that too. Loved this transformation in her.
I have always loved Luke but I saw his flaws as well in this book. The way he reacts when Becky talks about his mother and the way he completely ignored Becky's feelings once the news about her hits the papers. I guess he kind of made up for it by his thoughtful gesture in bidding for her Denny and George scarf.
Also, I was a bit shocked that Becky had to lie about her shopping sprees to Luke and that he had no idea about her debt. For two people in a committed relationship, they felt kind of out of sync.
And, God I LOVE Suze so much. I want a friend like her.
Overall I got to see both Luke and Becky grow as a person and I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
