This is a fantastic book by a thirteen year old with Asperger Syndrome. As soon as I finish reading it I plan to read it to my son.

The book is written as a self-help book for teens who have AS or Autism, but also has explanations for teachers, parents and others. I especially like the parts where he details how his thinking processes work. It explains so much.

The author also goes into details about variations on the syndrome that he has not personally experienced, so it does cover more than just his experience. There is also an extensive resource list in the back.

This is a great book for teens and tweens who are on the autism spectrum and for their family members and teachers.

True, however, there's worse than Asperger's syndrome, there's high sensitivity too. I feel like Asperger's makes someone better equipped to laugh at someone's incompetence than high sensitivity that can make you feel hopeless in the face of incompetence.

This book was written as a kind of a self-help manual from one teen with Asperger's Syndrome to other kids who have it. It was charming and well-written. It gave me new insights into the mind of someone with Asperger's. You must read this if you have a child or teen with Asperger's. Also see his mother's story. It's amazing as well.

Annoying writing - preachy at best whiney at worst. Advocated the opinion that the person with the issue is the only one that can tell what ways one should deal with this issue. I know the book will be used to say various methods (diet, martial arts, pressure therapy) worked(?) for him so everyone has to jump on the bandwagon (take that Luke!) Seemed very shallow(!) and hardly worth the time to read.

This is such a wonderful book! My son, who has Asperger's, looked at his grandmother after reading the section about school and said "That sounds like me!". When I asked him what he thought when he got done reading he said that the author sounded just like him.

This book is aimed at teenagers who have Aspergers. Unfortunately many of them won't read it because of the unfortunate title. That's too bad, because it's a great book. A fascinating first person look at living on the spectrum.

I would love to read a review of this book by an adolescent with AS. Luke Jackson does a good job of presenting himself, his personality comes across throughout the entire book. Which is, actually, part of the reason I didn't like it as much as I could have.

This book is full of insight about AS and autism in general, helping me to understand the AS people in my life. It is also full of parenthetical disclaimers (after all, I don't know everything! I'm only thirteen years old!) that started to wear on me by the end of the first chapter. I wish the editor had taken out a handful of these asides along with about fifty exclamation points. However, I really would like to know the response of an adolescent with AS to the writing style. Maybe for that audience it's perfect. But for me, the tone was so persistent, that I found myself putting the book down frequently. It should have been a fast read, but it took a while instead.

Now, on the whole, I am very glad that Luke Jackson wrote this book. I think it will be a valuable resource.

Fabulous book..Luke has such unique insight given that he has AS himself..also has a very witty writing style..lots of laugh out moments and such a true reflection of what it is like to live with AS.

I am not one to write reviews though ill post just a short thought. I just want to say in the vast literature on Aspergers and ASD it is very refreshing to read something that is written from the perspective of someone that is actually afflicted rather than an outside observing. I also quite like that the reading experience was more stream of consciousness or even a monologue that I think is a lot like autistic thinking itself.

It was great that a 13year old would write this book. It wasn't really what I was after. I knew much of the information already and found it repetitive. Easy reading style for teenagers though.

In my memory this book helped me a lot in understanding my own struggles with AS. Full of wit and self-mockery keeping things light and informative.
