This "Cirque Du Freak: Killers of the Dawn" book by Darren Shan is about the battle between the two teams: vampires and vampaneze. They fought in a tunnel. They really don't like each other for a reason but I forgot why. I forgot because I think the reasons are on the 2nd or 3rd book and I am reading the 9th book now. Anyway, I really liked this book because there are so many interesting parts. I can't even close my book because I really want to know what will happen next. But did you notice that I just rate this book for four stars and not completely five? It's because not all of the parts of the book are interesting that's why I only said "many parts" are interesting. Only few parts aren't interesting because I can't comprehend it at all. I can't comprehend because since the vampires are living in a mountain and they are vampires, they talk too deep. They used so much precise words. I feel the author was hoping to make more series of this since many people in this world like Cirque Du Freak stories. Also, I suggest that you should read this kind of book if you like horror fiction and science fiction. Lastly, my goal is to finish all the series of this book so that I know how this story goes very well until the end.

4 stars for me overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from the very first book, I suspected that Steve was going to be blooded and would come back as a sinister and evil character with some significance in the future. Lo and behold - this book sees him announced as the Vampaneze Lord which was slightly predictable and which I had suspected all along. That being said, this book was action packed and full of suspense. The death of Mr Crepsley was a very sad moment and marked a pivotal point in the book! Looking forward to reading the final three in the series to see how this saga concludes!

i think that this book is okay because it does not really suprises you like other darren shan books. this book's cover looks really intresting and when you read it, its not as intresting as the book. the action is too slow and when there is action, they discribe it like it was boring. or something that happened trillions of years ago and no one cares. but above all, the book is entertaining and okay to read.

This is yet another action packed book in the series.

Again there are many twists and turns, more deception for you to work your way through. There’s also shocking emotional moment for you to put up with as events unfold. There is development in characters and plot, the story jumping forward a lot, heading you in the direction towards where the story ends.

OKAY THIS BOOK WAS A FUCKING MISTAKE WHY IN FUCKING HELL WOULD YOU KILL OF LARTEN??

Okay now that's been said, when the plot twist took place there was a part of me that said 'wowww whatttt' and also 'I KNEW IT I CALLED IT THE MOMENT STEVE JOINED THE STORY AGAIN' but mostly 'MR CREPSLEY DIED FOR NOTHING... WHY WHY WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME??'

Still I'm giving a 5 star review, why one might ask. I have no fucking idea this book was one big dissapointment plotwise but I guess because I love drama and it made me feel things.

I knew it, and I can’t even feel sad about it. And I’m pretty sure you saw it too. This is bullshit. Absolutely bullshit.

Since I've had plenty of time to cool down, and finish the rest of the series, I thought I would come back to my quote on quote favorite book of them all and die inside all over again. I have completely forgotten I had given this novel a one star, but I think I'm going to keep it. It's just his death, ultimate betrayal right there. All while the thing we could have taken down with him was in his grasp, literally. In all honestly, though, this novel was very good. Don't be fooled by the one star!!!

So....ridiculously.....sad. The ending of this book packs a wallop of emotional punch. So....sad. The books won't be quite the same now (again, SO SAD.)

The way it went down, though? Brilliant, epic in scope.

All the three hunters have grown on me more. The assistance of two humans was a fun touch as they added to the storyline.

The twist turned my head around at the end, making me circle around previous assumptions that actually have turned out true. Red herring alert that was massacred. Such a brutal ending to bring this book to a darker level, as some of the others have been, but not all, making it a fantastic young adult book that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Such a bitter feeling with a certain turnout, especially considering how more bitter it is since the author slipped in a sweet chapter in the middle that gave false hope. Almost mean to do but this only emphasized the tragedy much more and was a brilliant, unusual move; I applaud.

Again intense in action, firm with pacing, characters hold up strong and become more likeable (in some cases before they meet tragic fates.) The world only continues to become more complex and layered.

Shan definitely has a talent with writing emotionally wrenching, tragic scenes. Ugh. Second time in a row with this series that I’ve sobbed as a child would.

I am sooo angry and furious right now! If I would've had this book as a physical copy I would've thrown it into a wall. Hard!

2.5 stars. I am so sad that THE character died at the end, and that the other characters were stupid enough to not realize who the Vampaneze Lord was in fact. It was so previsible and I realized it so soon, but of course those ignorants couldn't see the signs.

Well, at least now I am up to date on my challenge of "30 books in 30 days". Today's book is The Lake of Souls, the 10th book in the Cirque du Freak series, and I like the cover of it. Can't wait to see what's going to happen and I hope the dead character can be somehow miraculously saved from the dead.

Please, Darren Shan (author), have mercy!

This book was fantastic until they killed off Larten Crepsley!!! WHY would they kill of one of the main characters???? I am pissed beyond believe, very disapointed in the entire series now, and I don't know if I can even finish reading the final book's. I'm very upset by the ending, and I can only hope that I'll get over it and read on to find out that he somehow come's back to life or something, but I doubt that's gonna happen, can't believe the author killed him...
