This is a very cute children's picture book that explains moods and feelings. This book would be great to discuss emotions with a lower grade level, like kindergarten or first grade. Theres a lot of rhyming and very helpful visual illustrations to go with the moods. I do wish somewhere towards the end the book would have discussed more that it's okay to feel different emotions and be sad or mad or happy, but that just because you're mad you shouldn't take your emotions out on the world. The book kind of missed that concept that even if you're feeling a certain way, it's not okay to treat others poorly or be mean that day.

A little curly head girl shows many moods. Each mood is presented in the book with rhyme and silly things. The book is awesome to teach kids about emotions. Illustrations are detailed and perfect for the story. I give this book a 4 for great explanations.

I enjoyed this book. This book is about a girl that goes through different emotions each day. She goes from being happy, sad, mad, silly, lonely, etc. This book is a great way to start a discussion with the class about their emotions that they feel everyday, and to explain to students that we all feel different.

Great book to try to get the young ones to share their feelings, confusions or frustrations. sometimes it is difficult for children to articulate their thoughts and acknowledge their feelings so this book can act like a prompt and encourage them to express.

This social emotional book would be easily used when teaching the children how to self-regulate. I'd talk about how some days we feel strong emotions and it makes us act a certain way. I'd ask the children how they are feeling and how they can show that emotions. The children will learn that there are many emotions that can be expressed using their face. I like how the pictures are colorful and correspond with each of the emotions that the character is feeling like when she is angry the whole 2 pages are red and dark.

Shelving old favorites: Best part of this book is the wheel at the end, which allows kids to decipher the parts of how an emotion shows up/looks like on a person's face. Gives them a little experimenting play, helps facilitate discussions about how we can read other's emotions. Classroom favorite in the pre-k I was teaching.

I read this to a primary class of students learning English in Nepal. Out of all the books I read aloud, Today I Feel Silly was by far their favorite. The rhyme scheme, colorful illustrations, and story made it a book that was requested early and often, and soon it was read aloud by Nepali teachers in other classrooms in the school I was volunteering at that summer. It's a happy memory to look back on and this is a book I'll definitely bring with me if I have the opportunity to volunteer like that again.

This is one of my absolute favorite social and emotional children's books. I love this book because it goes through the many emotions that children feel and can relate to with illustrations to go along with each emotion. This book lets children know that it is okay to feel emotional, even the "bad" emotions, but that we should never forget to be happy and silly!

I liked this story, because it was funny. It has a lot of rhyming words for children to pick up on easily. The pictures were great. It’s a great book for children to learn that they won’t always have the same attitude everyday. And that’s okay.

I like the every different moods it explains in each pages it shows in the book. I also like how the pictures show moods by colors and the words describing the moods. The children could learn the many different kinds of moods that are mad, angry, silly, happy, and other moods.
