After this book explain to the children that everyone has the same feelings like in the story and teach them the correct ways to deal with each feeling.

This book uses bright pictures that clearly match the text. The text itself describes various emotions that people experience and the protagonist provides many examples of why she's feeling the way that she does. The examples given could lead to larger discussions about labeling feelings and discussions about how it's okay to experience all emotions.

I once asked my parents to tell me a book I loved as a kid and this one was brought up. So for Old School April I thought it would be fun to reread this one as an adult. I found a video of Jamie Lee Curtis actually reading the book herself and it was a great way to revisit this story again. It's a cute and simple book about emotions and I got a rush of nostalgia when it got to the last page where you could change the face for different emotions.
