This book was actually quite good for a bird book.

I don't usually have a penchant for reading books specifically about birds. However, this particular one managed to capture my interest.

What I really liked about it was the detailed and vivid way it presented how birds hatch. It took me through the entire process, from the moment the egg is laid to the emergence of the tiny chick.

Additionally, it also delved into the fascinating world of bird nests. It described the different types of nests that various bird species build, their unique designs and functions.

Overall, this book provided a great insight into the lives of birds and made me appreciate these wonderful creatures even more.

Birds besides owls make pellets!

I had no idea about this interesting fact before. It turns out that many other bird species also produce pellets.

These pellets are formed when birds ingest food that they cannot digest, such as bones, feathers, and fur. The indigestible materials are then compacted and regurgitated in the form of pellets.

Another thing that stood out to me is that baby birds can be really, really ugly.

I was already aware of this, but the pictures I saw made it crystal clear.

Their appearance is often quite different from that of adult birds, with their scrawny bodies, unfeathered skin, and large eyes.

However, as they grow and develop, they gradually transform into the beautiful and graceful creatures that we are familiar with.

It's amazing to think about the transformation that takes place during their growth process.
