I had no idea about this interesting fact before. It turns out that many other bird species also produce pellets.

Another thing that stood out to me is that baby birds can be really, really ugly.

I have a rather complex relationship with the Eyewitness books. On one hand, I truly love all the fascinating and informative pictures they present. These visuals are not only engaging but also offer a wealth of knowledge. On the other hand, I detest the busyness of it all. The pages seem overly cluttered, which can be a bit overwhelming at times. Additionally, I'm not a fan of how they attempt to incorporate evolution into every aspect.

We simply checked this book out to peruse through. I placed it in the book basket, and they browsed through it several times. I wasn't inclined to read all the numerous snippets of information together, but I did respond to any questions they had.

The pictures in this book are all photographs and are executed extremely well. Just by looking at them, one can learn a great deal.

However, I never utilize these books as our primary source of information. The reason being that you only receive a brief blurb about each item, and I don't think it's sufficient. Nevertheless, for the purpose of looking at pictures and/or casual browsing, they serve their purpose quite well.
