This book comes in very handy (it's small) and you can always carry it with you and you can learn a lot from it. It contains cuts from the various children's books by Dr. Seuss, who is an amazing writer. Adults can relate well to all his books!

Simple snippets of verses from different Seuss books that directly talk about "a guide to life". Felt nice to read a Seuss book after a long time!

One of 44 children's books he wrote... this tiny gift edition gives us a peek into some of them.
My favorite line found here from the book "On Aging":
You're in pretty good shape for the shape you are in!"
Awesome! Who says it is just for kids?

I’ll admit, I have a bias; me & Dr. Suess share the same birthday & my mother gave this book to me as a graduation present. I absolutely loved this book. The poems were inspiring & cane from some of the “best” & some of my favorite books by Dr. Suess. I think it has a lot of great messages and would be a perfect book for someone going into high school or coming into adulthood.

This book made me think/indeed it did/how helpful the doctor is/even if you are not a kid! - Sorry...but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It is amazing to me how many lessons we learned from the good doctor that keep confronting us throughout life; that is why every year I set a day aside and go on a picnic with about three Dr. Seuss books - kind of a vacation back to childhood - with lots of lessons I can still take with me.

I loved it. I haven’t read all of his books, but enjoyed these snippets from so many of them.

I never realized how much advise you could get from Dr. Seuss books until I read this. I also didn't realize that there were some Dr. Seuss books that I have never read, or at least do not remember them.

I was expecting more as I have used parts of his books when I give cards for different occasions. I thought this would be an easy way to find some to use. I didn’t feel that way after reading it. I didn’t see when I would use many of these Suess-isms.

This is literally just a collection of quotes from various Dr. Seuss works. It's meant to a guide to life (of sorts) with quotes falling under things like "be true to yourself" or "think big" or "be proactive". Some of the quotes relate to it, and others not quite. Like "put your best foot forward" and then doing a quote that's about how many feet you meet. I mean, Suess is a master at rhythm and rhyme, so the quotes are well phrased. I wish I was reading a complete story, but I digress. It's clear what it's suppposed to be, and it works on the most simplistic level. Which is fine. It's not supposed to be deep. And the illustrations are whimsical and fun. So I mean, if someone gives you this as a present, then don't just chuck it in the trash. If you need this sort of thing, it'll provide.
