3.5 stars (4/10 hearts). I had high hopes for this book, because I’ve been on a Seuss binge and I loved his homely, pithy wisdom. I was a bit disappointed that some of these “wisdom” bits were a bit stretched/out of context, or where the point could have been illustrated better with a different quotation. I also wished they’d included a few other of his great quotes. However, overall, this was a good collection of Seuss’ good sayings and it included some I hadn’t thought about or noticed, which I appreciated! Overall, I think this is a good base for me to start my own personal collection of “Seuss-isms.” :)

This is a collection of the delicious witty dialogue from Dr. Seuss books. The witty dialogue from many of Dr. Seuss’ books are broken out into topics...equality, diversity, respect, etc...

Contains some quotes I really want to remember! And a few I am not the biggest fan of, so I am not giving 5 stars.

I was gifted this book for my birthday and I finally had a chance to read it. It’s a great book with a compilation of quotes and snippets from other Dr Suess published works. Indeed Dr Suess makes reading fun.. really brought back memories of my childhood! A lot of the snippets need to be printed and framed..

I think that this book would make a great graduation present for a student. It has inspirational quotes to make you think about your future, and the great Dr. Seuss illustrations to remind you of your past!

An amazing gift for those who are starting out on a journey. I received this as a gift for graduation undergrad and it has brought me so much joy. This book takes excerpts from Dr. Seuss books and complies them with themed lessons we can receive from each book. Love it! Dr. Seuss fans will adore this!

Dr. Seuss has a lot of helpful and amusing advice for life, but this book which collects a variety of his quotes isn't particularly well done. I like the idea of gathering the best of Seuss together, but pulled out of their context a lot of the quotes seem to lose their meaning and impact. Much better to give readers each Seussical story on its own, along with their unique illustrations, so that readers can get the whole moral (or lack there of in a few cases) for themselves.

This book was centered around phrases we are told growing up such as “Tell the Truth” “Surround Yourself with Good People,” and then each of those are the title of a poem that focuses on that saying. I think this would be a fun read aloud for middle to upper elementary students when learning about poetry.
