Dr Seuss's Sleepbook by is a book I added to my goodreads project. It goes well with my theme of goodnight books because children see how others sleep and what else goes on while one sleeps. This book was unrealistic in many ways, however, very educational in the way that children reading this book learn that people snore, sleepwalk, and sleep talk. It spoke about people having long days, and they all start going to bed one by one and the number of people sleeping rises. By the end, the number of sleepers have travelled up into the trillions and then asked what about you? Implying the question of, what about the one reading this book? Are you going to sleep yet? In week 3, we discussed nonsense rhymes and nursery rhymes. This Dr Seuss book can be seen as nonsense in the way that it has many made of characters doing silly things, etc, but in the rhymes themselves, it follows a storyline. This storyline all connects to one another till the end of the book. The rhyme follows a singalong rhythm that is fun for children to read and follow.
