The start was a bit fast for me. I always need some more time to warm up to the characters but in the end I really like them all. Usually the build up, emotionally and sexually, comes before the first bedroom action but this one is good exception. Very hawt, dirty and kinky but I highly approve. Can't wait to read more of Holly'y books.

MMF romance triangle.

There is so much that is wrong with this book. Both the roleplay scenes are absurd, as is the "BDSM" scene. Captain Blood is ridic. Joe's magical career? Ridic. All of this should make the entire thing intolerable.

And yet...

This book is a perfect example of emotional authenticity trumping everything else. Sean felt real. His behavior toward the ends of the BDSM scene and the priest scene saved both of those. Sean's motivation felt true. Sean's occasional moments of vulnerability felt true. His issues and the arrangements he makes to stay in Kate's life felt true, and more importantly, they felt specific. The 180 he does and the moment she realizes he's flipped made my stomach drop.

The only thing that would've made this better would've been Joe disappearing entirely - and as a permanent MMF partisan, that is sacrilege - but again, emotionally, it has to be this way to make things work long term.

So, five stars.

Hot with just enough plot and character growth, but mostly steamy sex

Ms. Holly does it again. Not in the "Black Lace" series, but this book is Teh Hawt. Rawr! It's a keeper!

Well...this is a Graphic Novel, and I Do NOT mean as in "Manga". This more description than any "Bodice Ripper"...and is definitely um quite scintillating, It even has a good story between all the Hot & Steamy (leave no detail to imagination) sex. Whew! There I said it.

So let's see: Katherine owns a bookstore...her cheating/lying husband has left her for Marianne's 17 year old daughter. Marianne is supposedly Katherine's best friend, who helps her with the bookstore and is hot (and jealous) for Joe. Joe is Katherine's boarder....Sean is Joe's "friend" and the three of them for a hot and lusty menage.....

Some people will call this smut, some will call it trash, some will call it erotica......to me it's just fantastical sexual fantasy played out and surprisingly well written.

I thought mine had a different cover, but I don't see any which look familiar, and this is the right color anyway. I really liked this one. Very often the characters in these novels seem to be archetypes rather than people, and this was not my feeling here, with the exception, perhaps of Marianne. (And there I think it was just that Holly didn't take the time to pursue that thread). The relationship between the three protagonists is moving and credible, I found.

Kate, Joe and Sean share an unusual May/ December menage, at times sweet but always HOT. A hard book to put down, it was a very unconventional romance with a satisfying HEA that made me wish for a sequel. Not my type of book to read every day, but I'm glad I read it.

Quickshot review (since I read this long ago and never marked it down)

This is a great one handed read. The storyline is a little OTT and alot happens between these three. It's not a committed triad, but there are insanely hot scenes between them all the same. If MMF erotica is your thing, Ms. Holly has a talent for it.

Just started reading this story and so far I'm enjoying the ride!
