When Stephanie goes to get her latest bounty job from her cousin Vinny, she is amazed that it is for Ranger, a fellow bounty hunter and one major heart throb. She turns it down because she thinks Ranger is innocent of murdering Homer Ramos, the head of a crime family.

Ranger instead wants her help in keeping an eye on the Ramos and trying to figure out what is really going on. Of course, Stephanie isn't the only one looking for Ranger. Besides her nemesis bounty hunter, Joyce, there are 2 bad guys constantly tailing her and her lover, Cop Joe Morelli.

In the middle of all this, Grandma Mazur leaves home to come live with Stephanie and Stephanie who agrees to dog sit for awhile ends up with a huge dog named Bob. This all hinders any love life Stephanie has going on.

A number of cars are ruined once again but the funniest part involves the bad guys car and Bob. This is the best of the series so far and definitely recommended for anyone needing some laughter in their life.

n  “Gee, that’s disappointing. Next thing you’ll be telling me you aren’t Superman.”
Ranger smiled. “You want me to be Superman? Spend the night with me.”

I like Morelli.
I like Steph and Morelli.
They're hot and hilarious.
And Ranger?
I always thought of him as of a Stephanie's big brother.
Things happening in this sequel feel like an incest to me.
I'll pass.

Another fun read in the Stephanie Plum series. Loved Moon Man Dunphy, a new character. Only way to describe him is a "Jersey" Spicoli!. If you don't know who Spicoli is then rent the DVD "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".

Lots of LOL moments in this episode. My favorite is Stephanie's encounter with Moon Man when she's trying to take him in as a FTA ("failure to appear") and reschedule his court date:

I knocked on the door and Moon looked out at me, just as confused as he had before. "Oh, yeah," he finally said. And then he did a stoner laugh, giggling and chuffing.
"Empty your pockets," I told him.
He turned his pants pockets inside out, and a bong dropped onto the front stoop. I picked it up and threw it into the house.
"Anything else?" I asked. "Any acid? Any weed?"
"No, dude. How about you?"

LOL!

My God I like the hilarious comedy and Stephanie's antics but this was too much and her stupidity made me grate my teeth in disgust but what can you do but love her. Poor Joe and Ranger.

This time there's no big bad for Stephanie to catch because this time it's Ranger who is FTA. And Stephanie refuses the case and dude like always stupidity and hilarity ensues.

May be I will take some break from the series and read something different but won't stop reading and you should too just Keep on Reading.

People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put I just love reading and so to that end I have made it my motto to just Keep on Reading. I love to read everything except for Self Help books but even those once in a while. I read almost all the genre but YA, Fantasy, Biographies are the most. My favorite series is, of course, Harry Potter but then there are many more books that I just adore. I have bookcases filled with books which are waiting to be read so can't stay and spend more time in this review, so remember I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

Many time reread, 5/25/24
Thinking about how this week has stressed me out with all the “things” I’ve had to do and still have at least 2 more things this weekend, and then in 2 weeks is our kayak trip, and then concert season starts, and then vacation, and I get SO PANICKY. If I lived a life even a quarter as exciting as Stephanie Plum’s I think I’d commit myself

Cars exploding, strange people breaking into her apartment, and she's being followed by two goons in a minivan... just another day in the life of Stephanie Plum... Jersey Girl/Bounty Hunter...

Great books - laugh out loud funny... very entertaining!!!

In this book, her other love interest, Ranger, is accused of murdering a mob boss'ss son and Vinnie wants Steph to bring Ranger in. As if!

Meanwhile she talks a skip off a bridge with the arguement that jumping was a bad way to go because it would ruin her hair for the viewing... Funerals are one of the favorite pastimes in the Burgh. Mooner and Dougie, the loveable stoners are introduced in this book and Bob the dog and Rex the hamster are back... Did I mention Grandma Mazur moves in with Stephanie... lol

I think I'm going to give up on the series after reading the first 6 books. I like the fast paced story line and I understand it's not the type of book to have much character development, and I really don't mind that but what I mostly can't stand are love triangles that do not get resolved within a book or so, and I am afraid this series looks like it's going to be one loooooong lasting love triangle (judging by the summary of book 18 that just came out). Another thing I can't stand is that Stephanie is whining about Joe not wanting to settle down and marry her but yet goes around making out with Ranger and getting all hot when he touches her...it's annoying...Joe calls her his girlfriend and she goes around cheating (yes, making out with another man is cheating especially since it happens more than once)on him while she gets upset by him only talking or working with other women and stalks him...So this is why I am giving up on the series, I can't spend 12 books being annoyed but a lame love triangle since it will ruin the whole story for me. It sucks because I really enjoyed the new characters that got introduced, and I think the love triangle is completely unnecessary part of the series.

Janet Evanovich has done it again, she made me snort coffee out of my nose and she left me with stomach ache from laughing so hard. This is without a doubt one of my favourite comedic series and I'm enjoying it just as much on a reread.

Stephanie is one of the most completely clueless bounty hunters you'll ever come across, you'd think she might be getting the hang of things by now but really she just blunders along in her own little world seemingly catching the bad guys by accident. I know she's a klutz and I know she's totally hopeless but I can't help it, I love her anyway! Her sassy attitude and snark is a constant source of amusement and her crazy family and fun sidekicks just add to the hilarity. Grandma Mazur gets a lot of page time in this book and I love that nutty old bird just as much, you can definitely tell which side of the family Stephanie takes after.

Just when you think Stephanie has her love life sorted something comes along and mixes it up, in this case it's her growing attraction to Ranger and his darkly seductive flirting that sends her pulse racing. Ranger is in trouble and for once he's the one who needs Stephanie's help. He's been set up for murder and it's up to our hapless heroine to try and prove his innocence, something which is definitely easier said than done. Then you have Morelli, he's her on again / off again lover and while their relationship might currently be in the off position he's not given up on changing that. In fact he's going all out to win Stephanie around to his way of thinking.

Throw in a deranged arsonist, a rather large dog who will eat anything, two newly destroyed cars, and a new permanent houseguest and Stephanie is way out of her depth. I don't think I'll ever get enough of these books and I can't wait to read the next one!

Dogs and prunes don’t mix?
You don’t cock a semi-automatic?
How do you save a cake when half the icing has been licked off?
These questions and more are answered in this installment of Stephanie Plum Bond Enforcement!

Another fun read that caught me laughing out loud at least twice.

This is the 6th book in the Stephanie Plum series - and by far the best so far! Grandma Masur, the dog and Lula made this story priceless!! Although I am new to this series , and reading them in order- I can see where the Joe vs Ranger love triangle may get to be 'annoying' (for a lack of a better word) .

I'll still continue this series - and I wonder how long it will be for me to get annoyed by the love triangle- we shall see -- so for now---- on to the next !
