Classic Eckhart. So great to listen to this book over and over, great encouragement to understand how important it is to live now. now. now.
Not what may be, or what was...as then we live in our minds. The freedom of living in this moment is glorious!

I found the book a bit dense, and took my time to read it. It has amazing lessons of wisdom from Eckhart in each chapter. I was not knowing the book is also available in the form of an audio book, as it might be a better option; given that Eckhart has a wonderful voice with a husky smile :).

Im saying the same as what ive said in my other Power Of Now reviews... they are all very similar books but some are just more bite sized or easier to listen to or read. Don't spend money on all3 unless you are looking to start 'teaching what he's preaching!'

All we have is the present moment, but we are always regretting our past or worrying about our future. I loved this book, because I found out that Ho'oponopono brings us back to the present, moment by moment.

I listened to this book. It's a recording of a Tolle retreat. I have listened to The Power of Now, and was not a fan. I started to listen to a second Tolle book because of all of the recommendations, but just couldn't stick with it. I threw in the Tolle towel, but this popped up on my "Next to Read" list. So, I started.

I liked it a lot more, because I could hear Tolle as a real person, not just a drone reading his words. He interacted. He was spontaneous, and he laughed that strange chimpanzee huff of his. I just wish I was able to see him for this one. Probably won't listen to others, though.

I read about half of The Power of Now, and knew there was an enormous amount of wisdom in it, but found it a bit hard going at point. Then I saw this audiobook, and listened to a bit and was hooked. It's generally wonderful, and by far the easiest to 'get' material on mindfulness I've come across. (Not that my experience is that great, admittedly.) Instead of saying how many minutes a day one should sit in this type of position and so on, Tolle gently points out how daft the manner in which we all spend virtually our every waking moment is, and offers an alternative. If I hadn't read the forward to The Power of Now, it might have seemed as if Tolle were laughing at people for being depressed, but knowing that he'd been depressed to the point of being suicidal made all the difference. He's certainly able to laugh at himself, which is a wonderful thing.

One for listening to in bits and pieces over and over.

I found this book a little odd. I just didn’t get it but maybe it’s just me. Yes calming voice and good audio but i think it must have gone over my head!
