I feel a little bad rating this book at 3 stars - someone more spiritual or accustomed to this kind of material would likely rate it higher. The material is intentionally repetitive, iterating on the idea of presence, and peaks about halfway through during live Q&A. After that Tolle seemed to run out of things to say.
I requested this from the library and it came before Power of Now, but having read A New Earth, I got the gist. This format (Tolle talking to a live audience at a retreat and answering questions) actually worked well for the material and helped me understand him better than when first reading a New Earth.
Regardless of your background or previous exposure to Tolle's work, I think it's worth a try.
