Visions of Hell... Over a period of thirty days, God gave Mary K. Baxter visions of hell and commissioned her to tell people still alive on earth to reject sin and evil, and to choose life in Christ. Here is an account of the place and beings of hell contrasted with the glories of heaven. Follow Mary in her supernatural journey as she enters with Jesus into a gateway to hell and encounters the sights, sounds, and smells of that dark place of torment, including its evil spirits, cells, pits, jaws, and heart. Be an eyewitness to the various punishments of lost souls and hear their shocking stories. This book is a reminder that each of us needs to accept the miracle of salvation before it is too late—and to intercede for those who do not yet know Christ. Time is running out.
Mary Kathryn Baxter holds a deep concern for the unsaved. In 1976 during an extended period of prayer, she received visions of hell and heaven for forty nights, revelations of warning and of salvation that she has since recorded in her books A Divine Revelation of Heaven and A Divine Revelation of Hell. She has received several visions since that time and has used them to remind others about the importance of decisions they make on issues of eternity.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and brought up in a Christian home, Mary was born again at age nineteen. After a period of backsliding, she returned to the Lord and has continued serving him since. In the mid-1960s, she moved from Tennessee to Michigan with her family; it was around this time that she began having visions from God. In 1983 she was ordained as a minister at the Full Gospel Church of God in Taylor, Michigan, and now ministers with the National Church of God in Washington, D.C. Her services are characterized by miracles and other demonstrations of the Holy Spirit.
In addition to her newest book, The Power of the Blood, Mary has also authored A Divine Revelation of Heaven, A Divine Revelation of Hell, A Divine Revelation of Angels, and A Divine Revelation of the Spirit Realm; all four of which have been translated into Spanish.
I did not put this book down until the last page. I have heard many people discuss this book, and how there life changed after reading it. I must say, it made me make more changes in my life, for when the world ends, I want to walks the streets of gold and not the streets of fire.
One sentence: Intense read, want to pick up the book and read and experience as the reader, more and more. This book has 216 pages in it. About 26 chapters: I got to page 93, (Chapter 9) before I had to set the book down. It was just getting to intense for me. What I mean by that-when I read or see video content that pushes my belief systems I normally have to take a break, set it down and come back to it. Not to say anything other than, I just need my well being to come back to an equilibrium. This book kinda escalates. I felt I finished half the book in three days because it was quite....well put it simply, very interesting and insightful read. I enjoyed first half more than the second half very much because I wanted to read and know more what this woman experienced. The book wasn't what I expected in a compelling way first half through. I was looked forward to reading it every time I picked it up. Content was fascinating. I picked up the book after being introduced to a "flat earth" season, which I had to eventually take a break of and eventually "close" the "x-files" on that as well. Not to say anything more than: I read this book in a time I was very "open minded" and I wanted to read something completely different from my mind-space where I was swimming in. As a flat earth research it's well.......yeah.....exhausting. Anyways, after I took a break from this book after finishing first half; it wasn't until 3 weeks later I got to finish the book I suppose that was because I needed 3 weeks breather from it before I felt ready to pick up the book again, because it's content was just too intense. Particularly the two witch experiences, if you believe in her testimony, just asked a lot of you being the reader. I kept open minded during the whole book. The second half of the book for me-certain parts are harder to follow as the descriptions are just hard to understand what Mary is trying to convey because the story gets quite "surreal". But, I don't encourage or wish to persuade people shes telling the truth, or not. Or if this book should be considered blasphemous, or not, to avoid judgement on myself, sincerely! But, I tell you one thing, I know there will be at least one moment when I meet my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in next life and I have the leisure time, to ask my Lord some things I'd like to know:was everything in Mary K. Baxter's experience real, Lord? So, I give her credit for me having to take a moment of eternity in my relationship with God, to have sparked my curiosity. After I finished her book, I sincerely, contemplated on reading her book: Divine Revelation of Heaven which was the flip side of the coin after her intense story. Also had a strong sense of compassion for this woman after reading this book, as I believed her while reading it. After the fact, I wouldn't say I'd have the courage to discredit her on anything she ever went through it, on simple grounds after reading everything she went through- if she was telling the truth, how horrible I would have to be to say such a thing. But I understand and respect the skeptical.
The warnings in this book are frequent and vital. Ask God to show you how to share these truths with the people in your sphere of influence. Every minute counts.
I met her personally some years ago she was a guest at one of my old churches conventions, she is a very spiritual and delightful woman. I truly enjoyed meeting her as well as hearing her testimonies as to how God took her to heaven and hell and back.
A waste of time. Pages of falsehoods and superstitions, mixed with paranoia. I got this book with an open mind, hoping to learn something. But I gave up after the first few pages.
This is an excellent book. I was scared to start reading it, but I was somehow kept at peace throughout. It is a wake up call as many people there have heard the gospel and did not choose God, and some knew His salvation btu walked away or let their flesh rule more than His spirit... Wow. Anyway, I would definetly recommend this and may read it again :)
Hey, Ms. Moles, this is one of the books I read for extra credit. I did enjoy it, although, it was extremely scary, to the point that I struggled sleeping at night! Thanks!
