I enjoyed reading this book very much. It was a fun read. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. Hysterical.

I don't think I've read the first in this series, so this was my first introduction to Alex Barnaby (whose first name I feel like you don't learn until 25% of the way through the book). It's a fun book with the exact same humor as Evanovich's number series. There's even a dog similar to Morelli's dog.

I still prefer the number series, but this was a fun way to kill some time.

Not sure what to say about this book... We read it out loud in the evenings. It was a random book I picked up at the Friends of the Library Booksale. There's something to said when you are so grossed out that you're not sure if you can continue, and then you laugh so hard that you cry.

I have read other books by Evanovich, so maybe I was warned? In any case, now I'm warning you. Read the book with trepidation.

I really love Janet's Stephanie Plum series. This reminded me a lot of that. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to read it. I did read the first one in this series also. I think I was looking for something different. It is a good story and I did get some laughs, but I guess I thought it was Stephanie Plum on steroids.

This was a fun book to read. I was a bit surprised that Barney was able to continue working with Hooker even though they were no longer together. A nice escape.

This book was ok, but not what I was hoping for. The suspense and pacing was ok. I guess it was the characters I just wasnt crazy about. The audio version is rough. The male character sounds like Reba and not some guy from TX. Just awkward.

Et tu Hooker, et tu?! This crazy cast of characters is at it again. I enjoyed the 1st book better but still laughed quite a few times with this one. Is there a 3rd? I for one hope so, I'd read about Barney, Sam, and the myriad of kooky sidekicks they have any day.

This is a Women's Fiction/Chick-Lit/Humor, and this is the second book in the Alex Barnaby series. I really enjoy just read. It has mystery and it is funny at times. It was a quick read. I always love the characters in Janet's book, and this one was no different.

I enjoy Evanovich’s humor and am impressed that it stays different from the Stephanie Plum stories. Alex and Hooker are fun and the Florida an NASCAR parts are engaging. These stories have more violence but it’s never threatening. I love Beans, the St. Bernard.

This was the first "Barney and Hooker" book that I have read. I have read all of the Stephanie Plum books to date and see a lot of similarities between the two. Beautiful woman in an on-again off-again relationship with a guy with a big goofy dog that eats everything, getting caught up in heist and multiple shootings, having to clear her name before getting caught, and lots of various colorful supporting characters.

Since I am seeking light, enjoyable, funny, action books right now this one fit the bill. Add in that I am a NASCAR fan and this was a great book.

Oh my goodness there was a lot going on in this book and it was too hard to believe that Hooker and Alex didn't end up messed up because of it. Everybody is always trigger happy in these books:)
