A book that I did not read voluntarily; I was managing a business and the corporate headquarters decided to send all of us to a seminar based on this book. I note with a little amusement that I might have given it another half-star were that not the case. However, it's an effective book, and contains a lot of good and practical advice that people in leadership positions ought to know (and you'll find as you go along that most of the people you've encountered in life in such positions really could use a healthy dose of this book). There are MANY competing books in this genre, especially tie-ins to popular seminar programs, but you need not go to such a seminar to benefit from this book (true of any Carnegie book). I won't go so far as to say it's required reading, but it's a good idea even if you have been through programs such as Willingham's Integrity Selling and some of the other "hot" combinations of written material and presentation. Many of the newer works did considerable "borrowing" from Carnegie. Why not read the original?

Its not even written by Dale Carnegie! It's under his association written by two Joe Smoes who keep inserting quotes by the late author. Complete false advertising.

Taught me that everyone can be a leader! We just have to change our mindset and mentality, identify out leadership strength, balance work and leisure, control our worries and energize our life, become a team player and strenghten cooperationamond associates, achieve our goals and increase our self-confidence! Good book indeed~

كتاب رائع يشرح فيه الكاتب الأسس العملية للنجاح و المتمثلة بشكل أساسي بعدة نقاط من اهمها ( العلاقات الإنسانية و الاتصال مع الآخرين - التوازن - الحماس - التفاؤل ) عن طريق طرح الأفكار و إثباتها بالأمثلة الواقعية لأشخاص حصلت معهم

- memang buku itu sangat sederhana, TETAPI LUAR biasa. Membutuhkan kematangan intelektual, emosional
dan spiritual yang tinggi untuk menerapkan level
- kepemimpinan di atas. Teringat ketika dahulu membaca buku-buku silat karangan Asmaraman Kho Ping Ho
- di mana suhu atau guru yang paling hebat tidak lagi membutuhkan senjata untuk mengalahkan orang lain; TETAPI
hanya mengandalkan keunggulan diri seperti rendah hati, mau memaafkan dan membantu orang lain terutama
musuh yg telah dikalahkannya.

This book did one thing for me: got me to clean my office and keep it that way. It is less helpful than it could be. It ended up just being a few nuggets of wisdom interspersed with numerous tales of successful people being successful. It was rather unhelpful and I didn't bother finishing it.

kijk, er staan wel goede lessen in, maar het is gewoon niet heel leuk. Ik wil spektakel, geen saaie troep.

Far better than others

Though the book is mostly stories of other people's experiences (some I struggle to believe are true, but I've yet to do the research) they applied well to the lessons trying to be taught in this book. I learned a lot, and I think this book is still very relevant today (it is October of 2019). I related a lot to some of the facts stated, and I hope I'm able to apply these lessons to !y every day life.
