A helpful book with practical advice on how to deal with conflict, influence, listen to, and befriend people.

Useful tips and tricks, and steps that can be taken to fend off worry and anxious thoughts. Many stories that testify to the fact that the mind has so much more influence than we realize.

Read this book slowly and apply the advice given in your life as you go, for the best experience with this book.

Great advice given through (mostly) terrible examples. If I'd read this book 15y ago I would've liked it more because I was more naive.
It lacks critical analysis of the advice and no concrete empirical evidence. It could have been summarized in 1/4th of the text and gained strength.

overall i liked the book. i thought it gave good advice. a lot I knew and heard before, but it is both good to hear again and was written well enough and in ways to make you look and things slightly differently. I think it's best to read it at a slower pace than normal and be intentional with the "lessons"

Best self-growth book I've ever read. These examples are usually boring in self-growth books but these were really fun and I was surprised on how it actually works. It makes sense, I've just never realised. You can do these things in real life immiditely after reading this book and can see the results. I think everyone should read this book. It should be mandatory by our school system.

Loved it! Considering it was written so long ago, there is just a certain bit of insight that makes this book feel classic. There is so much common sense and wisdom in this book. An excellent read for anyone.

Good read…some common sense but will help with my new job in larger institution. Hard to see how these tools work in relationships tho: to always let the other speak and not expect interest to go both ways? Seems a bit game playing but I suppose the business world is like that…folks pretend to care?

There is some point you should consider before reading this book :
1- The book Originally published: October 1936, so the way distributing information is classic, you may feel bored while reading.
2- It mentions a couple of examples for each single information of practical step, so read at least one step and its examples per open.
Don't read one page or one line everyday or you will not absorb the informaiton.
3- Read the book slowly to absorb the information.
4- And lastly, it's good that you already applying the principles of this book before reading it, it's a good thing.

"How to Win Friends" is a lot more practical than "How to Stop Worrying." The book regurgitates advice you've probably already heard. While that advice is generally solid, Carnegie backs it up with questionable anecdotes where his strategies magically work in various circumstances. It seemed a bit like these anecdotes were added fluff. Also, "How to Stop Worrying" leans a little too far into the 'trust in G-d' angle for my taste, but I'm sure there are many who would benefit from that aspect. This is the sort of book that a desperate person could really use, but your average joe might only enjoy the gentle social and emotional reminders at the end of each chapter.

People are like magnets they are attracted like the current, Positive people are attracted by the negative, and vice versa so you should have the ability to understand the Positive one to make the Negative.
