In 1947 Chuck Williams arrived in Sonoma, CA with the idea of building homes—first as a contractor, later as the owner of a hardware shop and finally as the founder of the first Williams-Sonoma store for cooks. Half a century later that small cookware shop has evolved into a multi-billion dollar retailing leader whose products encompass every room in the home.

I'm passionate about food and cooking so I was instantly drawn to the cover of this book. This cookbook is filled with healthy and simple recipes along with appealing photographs. It also includes explanations of basic skills and techniques for cooking and handling food. The "Kids Cookbook" is wonderful for all ages of children in multiple settings. Young children in a classroom could use it as a resource for actual cooking activities, or to enhance a dramatic play experience. There are many possibilities!

This is a great little cookbook. My kids and I have made several recipes from this book. Aaron and I made homemade macaroni and cheese to die for from the recipe in this book. Highly recommended!

This fun and easy cookbook has such a variety of purposes for teaching math. It could easily be used to teach fraction lessons, ratio lessons, anything about measuring and counting. With the bright illustrations and the easy and yummy recipes, kids will definitely be engaged. This would be good for group or whole class activities where students could form connections to the real world applications of math. Second grade and up would probably gain the most from this book. This book could lead into some beneficial and enjoyable class activities!

My seven-year-old picked up this book at the local library and has been checking out some of the recipes in it. Thus far they’ve been hit and miss. We really loved the tomato soup recipe and are excited about the apple pie recipe. However the turkey burgers we tried came out dry and pretty bland. This recipe book is set up very well for a child. The instructions are clear but the recipes are not flavorful.
