This was not my favorite of the series so far but still suspenseful. I was not disappointed and kept turning the pages as one expects with a Foster legal thriller. This case was more predictable from the start than the first two books, so it took put some suspense midway. nonetheless, Foster's writing keeps you reading. I cannot wait until the next one!

I liked this book almost more than the first two. The plot has lots of twists and the characters are just whacky enough to be interesting. I like all the books so far in the series!

This was my least favorite of the three I've read so far. Something about all the women in this series - they annoy me. Too dependant, needy, weird, off. I could handle it in the first two books, but it was hard to deal with in this one.

Well, this was the 3rd in a 4 part series of the Witness series by this author and it was not as good as the first two books at all. However, she keeps using some of the same characters so I expected a little more character development of them, but there was none in this book as there was in book 2. I am going to go ahead and read the 4th and final one - mostly because I paid for them and hope it is a good one to end this series. I think you could read book one and be good when it comes to this author though, based on this series alone.

This is the 3rd book in The Witness series. I like the series but feel this one wasn't as good as the first 2. Josie Bates attorney seemed to have her hands full with the different clients so to me made this book a bit to erratic for my taste.

Josie always wants the truth, but sometimes(nearly always in this book) she really doesn't want to hear the truth. Interesting plot with the angst of Josie trying to only defend people she can believe in. Good character development with Archer, Billy, and Hannah.

I like that with each book I am learning more about the main characters. It is interesting how the relationship between Josie and Hannah is progressing and how Archer, at times, seems to get a grip, get over himself and realize how important Hannah is to Josie. However, I did not like this one as much as the other two. In this book I guessed early on what the deal was with Matthew and Grace. I was a little disappointed how things ended with Grace. I thought that there could have been more story involvement with Kevin and Susan. I also thought that perhaps Josie and Babcock would find a spark ( maybe next book?) Anyhow I am onto #4

An engaging courtroom trial, inside the court and out. Who and what are we to believe? Several surprises. I won the book in a contest. I am so glad I did. Intriguing and captivating drama. Family issues, blood related or not. I am eager to read more about the cases of Josie Bates.

Too many characters

Out of the three, this was not my favorite. She skips around too much from character to character. I actually got confused at times as to who was doing what. She is a superb writer that can make a scene come alive. Generally, her books are excellent.

I thought that by the 3rd book in this series I would come to like the main character Josie. While seeing herself as a champion of right, she really takes cases that will boost her image of herself. She is pretty self centered and subtly arrogant and not very likeable. This book had many twists and turns but was not very believeable. I would only recommend it to die-hard Rebecca Forster fans.
