Privileged Witness is the 3rd book of the series that I've read. Like the others, it keeps you engaged with the story unwilling to put it down till the end.
This was the third book that I have read containing these characters and unfortunately my least favorite. The victim was not sympathetic and the whole plot seemed contrived. Not really sure if the ending was as rushed as it seemed, or if I was rushing through it to be done. Still like the main group of characters just not this storyline.
Third and last currently available in this series of legal thrillers. I liked them all so I guess I need to check out the other books by this same author.
At the beginning of the book I thought the Author was going another path, but I quickly learned she was going to keep me on the edge of my seat with this one. Some things were easy to figure out, but then Archer's role shocked me a little. I liked the roles Hannah and Billy played in Privileged Witness. Very good and much better than the parts they played in Hostile Witness. A very good series for those who like mystery. Looking forward to the next book, Expert Witness.
I am reading this series because I bought the first four books as a bundle. This was book number three and it is more of the same. Josie is an incompetent lawyer who does nothing to win her cases. There is always something that happens to find the guilty person. It is never through the cleverness of the lawyer. These books all have a lot in common, including fat shaming and having female murderers which is statistically improbable. It is fine for mindless reading to pass the day, but there aren’t any surprises and not enough suspense to make you keep reading until the end.
