Story you must read

A great story! I love the dolls. Peter Piper and Lady Patsy are two favorites. The old house is special.

I wish I’d known of this book when I was a child! I read other stories by the same author, but this was new to me! There’s magic, life lessons, morals, manners, and twists! A sweet story to read with your kids! It’s sparked new imaginative play in my own children.

Sweet memory from my childhood. I loved this book, and just stumbled across the title again.

It's a sweet story about an abandoned doll house and the adventures of the old, forgotten dolls inside.

The Racketty-Packetty House is an absolutely charming and delightful story!
This version -- the 100th anniversary edition released in 2006 -- includes beautifully drawn, yet whimsical, illustrations by Wendy Anderson Halperin.
This would be a perfect read aloud book, as it easily appeals to and entertains any age.

Cute enough, but basically just fluff. Fine for a young girl, or someone who particularly likes stories about dolls.

Short sweet, and very cute. If you love Toy story, this was written years before.

Lihtsate lugudega muinasjutukogumik.

I really wanted to like this book. Maybe I'd've liked it more if I was the target audience age. The story was anxious, slightly confusing, short and has a magical fairy ending. It is supposed to be sweet, and kind of is.

I had always heard of this classic children's story but never read it. It's one of those dolls-and-dollhouses-come-alive books that turn up so often in children's literature. It's a classic tale of the shabby-but-happy triumphing over the new/rich-but-haughty. A short and charming tale with the bonus of little fairies to help the heroes.

Racketty-Packetty House by Frances Hodgson Burnett – This was an Amazon freebie. If you liked the vibes of The Velveteen Rabbit, then this is in the same vein but with a doll house! Happy Reading!

A must read for all little girls! Too sweet ~ my little one couldn't wait to go to bed so we could read this.
