More and more characters, such as Misa Amane, are introduced during the series, taking the tale in new ways. When another shinigami arrives on Earth, delivering another Death Note, Misa is introduced. I won't say what happens when she first appears, but her appearance marks a significant turning point in Light and L's mental war.

In the Death Note series, there is a key turning point after which the story and tone alter dramatically. Some claim this is the point at which the plot begins to unravel. Personally, I wouldn't say it breaks apart, but it has obviously lost some of its sharp edges after this point.

The series is more and more exciting and the fourth volume is no exception. In this new chapter, the circle narrows around Light, with 'L' always careful to the events about Kira and there is the appearance of a new character, Misa. I read it in one breath, captured by the many events and plot twists that occur during the story. The fight between Kira and 'L' is increasingly tight, every move of the first, as cunning, is immediately examined and analyzed by the second. Light must reckon with the second Kira, which will prove to be a problem not so easy to solve, and which threatens to cause his downfall. The character of Misa, new entrance, is often ambiguous, in some cases childish, in other shrewd and determined, but still a bit too much on the stereotype of the frivolous girl, probably underestimated. I must admit that with all of these rules, the diary, remembers an RPG, but the many reversals and twists keep alive the attention, making it an interesting and never boring story. At one point it is questioned the identity of 'L', implying that there could be more than one

The finish is amazing, it's almost painful not to be able to continue immediately with the next.
I enjoyed it very much and it remains one of my favorites manga.

I’m on BookTube now! =)

Every time I think this plot can’t get even more tangled than it already is, Tsugumi Ohba seems to read my mind and say: “Ha! You haven’t seen anything yet!” *lol*

No, seriously! I have no idea how you come up with a story like “Death Note” and I most definitely don’t know how the author is able to keep the arc of suspense going like that. I was right about Kira II mixing up things and making it even more interesting. Though I’ve to admit that I thought we would get a little bit more time with her. Her fast introduction and also the way things played out with her character were quite surprising. We got a lot of new infos about how the Death Note works but unfortunately Misa isn’t as clever as Light which led to some difficulties and problems along the way.

L... well he never ceases to amaze me, but I can’t help but wonder how he’s going to solve the new puzzle Light threw his way. Because that ending! Woah! It was quite something and I’m so damn curious how volume 5 will play out. It’s definitely not going to be easy for Light and I’m sure he’ll have some problems along the way. Will his plan work out? Well, only Vol.5 is able to give me that answer and I’m planning to get to it asap! XD

“Rem: The way to kill a shinigami is to make them fall in love with a human.
Misa: What a wonderful way to kill.”

I certainly think this has been the best volume so far!
With two gods of death and two students with death notes, you would assume that they wouldn't get caught committing endless crimes! But with L investigating the case, things are starting to get a bit more spellbinding and terrifying!

Two Kiras, one in prison and one who lost her memory, how will it all play out?

The relationships are one-dimensional, the characterization is flimsy, the philosophy has that faux depth common to manga, talking heads often drone on for page after page, and the female characters are absolutely horrible. Why am I still reading this? Only for the brilliant concept, the incorrigibly single-minded character of Light, and the occasionally interesting plot twist. Oh, and Takeshi Obata is a rather good artist, especially considering all the talking heads he has to make look interesting.

This was a read it down in one gulp kinda experience.

Unbelievable! Best of the series so far. Had the most exciting thriller moments in this volume.
L is a champion. Love how the artist has portrayed his eyes. So inquisitive.

And like always, felt the end was so near. And yet it is just a new beginning.

Light really is a manipulative bastard isn’t he.

I had completely forgotten about the plot twist that apparently comes into play in this volume, but man was it satisfying. Though I do wish Misa got more character development than just being extremely obsessed with Light/Kira.

This issue was just slightly less awesome than the previous issues but still 5/5, Cat and Mouse game continues and the second KIRA meets light and of course, she is in love with him. This was just awesome and tragic and superb and what else not. The fight-and-see-saw battle between L and Light is just awesome and I just can't wait to read the next issue and complete the series. This was again awesome.

I have always loved comics, and I hope that I will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics or Diamond Comics or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics too bit, may comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.
