Things get crazier and the plot doesn't advance much, really, as L still suspects Light is Kira and isn't 100 % sure, and new second Kira Misa, who is also a highly sexualized famous little girl model and dumb, angles into becoming Light's "girlfriend,' though Light sort of already has another (and not bimbo) girlfriend, who is one of the smartest young women in school (whew for female representations, sorta, but she is not a central character, and sort of reserved compared to the "wacky" Misa Misa… The plot kinda gets to of control in the end… getting a little annoyed with it all, but you know, I jus may be hooked, anyway...
It wasn’t as good as the previous ones. I feel like the only female representative is kind of helpless and way too dumb. Why does she rely so much on Kira?? I don’t really like her role and I would’ve liked a smart and bad-ass girl in that story. Maybe it’ll change in the next book but for now it just didn’t do it for me.
Hmmm as an adult... i know for a fact that the characterization of women in all forms of Japanese media need alot of work. Unfortunately Death Note is within the norm here. There
I liked this volume less than the previous one. At some points, it felt really slow and I was bored a little. I hope the next vol.has more high stakes situations
Misa is quite annoying ngl. Also can we buckle this up? It's getting quite repetitive atp.
Also, the representation of the only woman in this manga, misa, was horrendous. Unnecessary sexualisation and her being so over the top stupid despite being the second kira? She only exists to be a use and throw bitch to Light and satisfy all his needs. Truly pathetic.
