Bleach continues to get better and better as we finally reach the best part of the manga.

Ichigo has to save Rukia but in order to do so he has to go through all of soul society. First he must face off against the underlings before he gets over to the Captains. This emotional fueled volume not only has him showing off his new skills but Chad and the Quincy master as well. Action packed, stakes rising, Rukia given hope, and some well placed emotion bits help elevate this title to the next level. A 4 out of 5.

It's definitely better than the previous volume. I feel the stakes were made more clear here, in the pursuit of Rukia. The combat was nice, but not the only plot point. Overall, a 3.5/5.

Hello Epic fights from everyone. Best one yet for sure.

Ichego heals Ikkaku then talks to him and finds out that the 11th company is the strongest and that the captain will come looking for him. He also finds out where they are keeping Rukia.

Gangu is fighting Yumichika and looking like he is getting beat badly. Meanwhile Ichego is running around to try to find him and gets chased by other soul reapers. Using his wit, Gangu is able to defeat Yumichika by forcing him to jump in the air and then hitting him with a bomb.

Orihime and Uryu get snuck up on by a soul reaper Jirobo and start to fight. While fighting one of Orihime's Fairies get hurt. Uryu makes quick work of him and cuts off Jirobo's spiritual powers. Meanwhile Ichego and Ganju are both running from mobs of soul reapers. When they meet up they start to fight them and take a hostage. Boom! Ichego and Ganju just run away without seeing its Chad that caused the explosion, knocking away half the enemies.

Ikkaku gets interrigated by the captain of the 4th and says nothing. When his captain arrives he tells him everything and that Ichego will be a good fight. Ichego and Gangu are told a secret path to get to Rukia by the hostage. On their way we find out that Hanataro ( the hostage) decided to help them because he knows Rukia and he likes her because of how kind she is.

When Ichego, Gangu, and Hanataro arrive at the end of the secret tunnel Renji is there waiting for them. Ichego and Renji start to fight. Ichego looks like he is getting stomped on but then it was all part of his plan to discover Renji's fighting style. Ichego wasn't strong enough and Renji gives a terrible blow knocking him over. When Renji goes to deliver his killing blow Ichego finds his "resolve" and strikes a killer blow on Renji. Renji tells the story of how him and Rukia grew up in a tough neighborhood in the soul society and how they basically became family and after 10 years together they decided to become Soul Reapers. Renji says he has been training ever since Rukia left the soul society so he could be strong enough to fight her brother and save her, he knows hes not strong enough and asks Ichego to save her!

Best quote "a revolver fires six times, a missile only once"

This was a great volume, as the crew arrive in the Seireitei, everyone faces different opponents. Ishida goes up against Ziroubou and actually wins and shows him his real power, others are making their way to different places. Ganjyu has some funny moments and then he and Ichigo meet again and kidnap this guy named Yamada whose a good guy and they make their way to Rukia's place and we learn more of the divisions/teams and their Captains and VC and then we have the greatest battle in Ichigo vs Renji and its epic, you get to know his backstory and when Ichigo finally comes on top using his confidence and determination! Just wow! Loved the art and static action here!

*3.5. Another solid volume with good fights. Can’t wait to see where this arc goes.

My feeling about Renji was actually upside down after finishing this volumn and I bet lots of readers feel that way too. Kubo sensei's ability with words are so darn brilliant. Love this serie <3

This one has kind of a sad ending. Honestly tho I really don’t think it’s going to be a sad series. Like I think nothing bad is really going to happen

The battles continue as the team tries to crawl their way to their objective while also reaching each other before anything bad happens to one another.

This volume sees the end of another of Ichigo's confrontation as he comes to terms with his intent. Beautifully drawn and with powerful dialogue, the action scenes inject me with drive and testosterone!

Renji and Rukia used to be friends?? I need that dynamic reestablished immediately. The Soul Society arc has been pretty fun so far, though I can't wait until Ichigo and the gang have to face off against the more menacing captains like Kenpachi or Byakuya. It's heartwarming that characters on both sides of conflict tend to be forgiving after meeting in battle, though I admit I'm excited for the more truly evil villains to make their appearances. That last scene of Renji was everything!

Unexpectedly, Ganju is creeping up on my favourite character list for this series. Now that he and Ichigo are getting along, its obvious that they share a similar sense of humour; its impossible for me not to be fond of him!
