With no doubt, Ikkaku is definitely new bae. Kubo sensei knew what he was doing giving him that seggsyyyy eyeliner and that stunning complimentary set of pectoral and abdomen muscles.

It was funny to see a bunch of ugly old dudes diss Ganju on his ugliness (he ain't ugly btw) I just want that kinda confidence when I'm practically a fossil.

And then Renji's fight with Ichigo confused me. Is Ikkaku still bae? Or is Renji new bae? Can I have both? So many questions...

Another interesting volume, introducing more about Soul Society and giving the reader background on Rukia and Renji. I always like the flashbacks with the main characters, and Rukia and Renji have a particularly tough and emotional past. Renji's battle with Ichigo is a good one, and demonstrates what Ichigo learned from Kisuke.

Ichigo and Renji have a brutal face-off and we get a flashback into what life was like for Rukia and Renji where they grew up.
