New York Times bestselling author Margaret Weis weaves a wondrous tale of dragons, sorcery, and the human spirit in this uniquely magical, fully-illustrated fantasy triumph.

They are banished to the Nether Realm for their unholy allegiance and for the sorcery they possess. They have pledged their fealty to the fantastical creatures others have feared and reviled across the ages. They are the disciples of the Dragon, men who honor their liege the Dragon and herald its triumph in exchange for wealth and eternal youth.

But the Disciples greatest struggle comes not from the outside, but from traitors within their own ranks who have turned against the wondrous strength and power of the Dragon--chief among them Justinian, the tormented Earl of Sterling. This is the struggle of the ages, the battle between good and evil...the legacy of the dragon.
