Gets a five for its life-changing potential if we are not being particularly picky about how it was written. I highly recommend it when you are ready to deal with those deep emotional issues. I plan on reading it again.

A friend at work gave this to me to read after talking to her about my divorce and years later a cancer diagnosis. I felt pretty convinced that the crushing anxiety, stress, uncertainty, lack of sleep, and poor diet during my three year divorce and adjustment to having to give up my kids to visit their father part of the time was a big factor in the cancer. I had no family history and genetic testing showed I don’t have a genetic disposition for it. This book helps one deal with the unresolved anger, disgust, resentment and other buried feeling that continue to affect all areas of your life.

I no longer have hardly any migraines because of this book! I had been through 10 medications, a couple of doctors, a chiropractor, and homopathic treatment all to no avail. This book is life-changing and will have a tremendous impact on your health if you read it with an open mind. It was a direct answer to prayer for me.

I liked this book. I haven't used it enough to know what results I might have, but it was interesting to think about feelings and how they are vibrations. I'm excited to try it. Maybe I'll come back and post my results.

Took my time as I read this book to really study it and use it in my daily life. I think it will be helpful as I continue to utilize what I learned.

I do agree that suppressed feelings and emotions can cause ailments, but I don't believe that every physical problem is a result of this. I think there are plenty of exterior influences that can cause an illness that have nothing to do with one's feelings. I did appreciate the main sentiment though; one should never bury alive one's emotions, believing they will die if neglected.

Susan had me read this one. It's interesting for your inner-psychiatrist to try and digest. Unfortunately (for me) I haven't really implemented anything from the book. But we have found that the concepts have helped our kids out with some things.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to overcome past traumas and hardships. I've had this on the shelf for years and was afraid to open it. I've been through all kinds of therapy and just did NOT want to dig up all that old pain and suffering AGAIN.
Why did I wait so long to read it?!!!
This is not about rehashing old feelings and experiences - this is about allowing your heart and body to finally heal. I will admit I was a bit skeptical of the "script" at first, but I have been converted. It does work. Out bodies can heal themselves and we can be whole again!

3.5 stars.... I've read this book twice. As someone who's had significant childhood trauma, negative emotions are very hard for me to process but I know I need to find tools to do so because like the title says when you bury them, they don't die. It's a great disservice to pretend they are not there or ignore them.

This book is older, quite long, repetitive and a little odd but if you read between the lines and substitute your own religious leanings I think there's helpful information in it for people like me that's worth revisiting now and then.

My nutritionist recommended this to me as a tool to help me alleviate some mental/emotional issues that strictly nutrition hasn't seemed able to resolve. This book has some good information, but it suffers from poor editing that makes it feel lower quality, and that's really hard to ignore. "Its/it's" was misused almost every time, repetition ran rampant, and whole sentences and phrases were often bolded, underlined, italicized, and capitalized to draw emphasis on particular points, which was incredibly distracting and felt juvenile. Plus, I wasn't a fan of the way the author dangled important resources over readers' heads in the earlier chapters without telling them what they were, all as a way of pressing them to continue reading; e.g. "After using the tool to process her feelings involved with this predicament, her situation improved greatly and she started feeling better about herself. As I write this, Sarah is on a journey to healing using the tool I will share with you later in the book. The improvements she has experienced in her life from using the tool are becoming apparent. Each day she gains more confidence in her ability to deal with her own feelings. With consistent use of this tool Sarah will be able to..."

Kind of insulting, right? This felt like a cheap and gimmicky way to draw readers' attentions, and it felt like a waste of my time. If you're not yet going to discuss this tool with me, then can we just dispense with this entire section in favor of relaying actual information, please? Needless to say, it unfortunately drew me away from the topics at hand.

I have yet to implement this aforementioned tool myself, so I can't fully give this book a fair rating, but as I'm so desperate to improve my health, I will definitely be giving it a whack. I'll report back later with results~

Um. I don't know how I feel about this book. But after a while I liked the idea of asking my spirit to help resolve emotional issues.

I would like to offer my services as an editor, though. For a fee, of course. Lots of errors in the book.

This book has been life-changing for me. I have truly loved it, though a lot of it is hard to take at first. The more I read, the more I loved it. a chapter or two later it all started to make sense.

The premise of the book is that negative feelings that we harbor can have detrimental effects on us physically, emotionally, spiritually, etc. The book introduces an approach to help us resolve these negative feelings. These feelings often block us from achieving what we really want in life. As I have sought to clear more negativity out of myself, I have seen some marvelous changes and I am feeling much more peaceful and spiritual than I believe I have ever felt. I love this book and will continue to reference it for years to come.
