The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is a book one can read and re-read time and time again. To paraphrase Stephen's own words from this workbook, not even he has been able to master these habits but in a sense, "The more you know, the more you know you don't know." And so one needs to continuously work at implementing these habits. That is why I have found the personal workbook so helpful.

It is a great book and it teaches me how to think from a principle oriented way. In the beginning, I thought it gonna be some quick and empirical habits but glad to find out that they are profound and universal. “Make and keep a promise, involves others in the problems and work it our together”. Even though I found the private victory part resonate with me more, but I believe when I have more social interaction —- kids or team management, I will find them more and more helpful. It definitely worth another round of reading and I will try to implement the steps listed in the application part to make the habits root in my mind. 1. proactive 2. start with an end in mind 3. first thing first 4. win/win 5. understand others first 6. synergize 7. sharpen the saw

This book will be one that I reread multiple times. I was so impressed with the audible version that I bought the book and study guide to “chew” on it more and delve deep. This book is only for those who are ready to actively trying to improve themselves and their relationships. The principles behind these habits have been observed and noted by the author and by many throughout history. They also just do happen to be biblically based, though he didn’t use the Bible to write them. Highly recommend.

Excellent workbook to go along with the main book.
It can even stand alone if you haven’t read the main book.

spoiler alert! This book talks about the the habits that people have and the different ways people look at the world. He gives you recommendations on how to improve your outlook on like and gives many stories and examples of these things throughout the book. There was no climax or incident in this book just a lot of intersting facts and stories.

I did not find this overly helpful or to have that much mind-blowing information at all.
For me this seemed more like common sense ways to get ahead than anything else.
I found it quite redundant for something that's listed as self-help.

The book too wordy and it doesn't inspire me. I stopped half-way reading it.

n  Here’s what I learned:n

1. Do the funeral test.
2. Learn how to say no.
3. Practice active listening.

A lot of what he said felt like common sense, and he often repeated his points, using personal anecdotes to further support his ideas. While there are some good takeaways, I didn’t find anything life changing. In my opinion, much of his advice, guidance, and motivation feels overly simplified and somewhat outdated—especially when considering factors like technology, pandemics, politics, mental health, and other obstacles in more modern times. In theory, this book could serve as a great guide for how one should try to live life, but it doesn’t fully account for the realities and challenges of the average person’s life today.

I recommend that everyone who are going to be a better man or woman no matter how old one is should read this book many many times. And importantly one should think and act as what covey said in the book.

The conception of circle of concern and circle of influence is strike me at the first sight. Wow , why I don’t read it earlier? I have waste so much time on reading news, playing games and just killing time by do nothing. After I heard the conception, I merely waste time on these stuff and I will choose do something in my circle of influence, just like love my family and keep in touch with my friends and workout a lot. They are the things that once I do that I do better to myself.

Five stars to recommend.

It is incredibly useful to devise a style of living.
After reading the book, you can see that a principled-driven life is as close to a fulfilling life as can be. I took some great notes from the book and am currently working on my personal mission and career statements.

One of the very high influential books I read lately. And probably the only book I did not use Merriam dictionary, yet took a month to complete the book for it is a lot of right brain work like Mr. Covey mentions in the book. This book helps to sharpen your dormant side of the brain and helps to discover your inner strengths. Sometimes we fall off the wagon in our busy lives and this book helps to pick where you left. I am going to read this book again with new perspective I gained after reading it. Highly recommend this book.
