The book talks about how we should think. Big ideas, mostly come from our inner selves. Maybe I was just expecting something more concrete like folding my blanket everyday. Nonetheless, I do recommend people to read it if they are looking to have a new set of thinking. Some of the stuff mentioned is rather difficult to do but should result in good places if implements.

An incredibly useful book and remains relevant even though the version is read is from two decades ago. Fantastic examples of how the habits can be applied in the workplace as well as at home. Everything was explained clearly with examples. Usually I get bored of such books easily, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it.

I listened to it on audiobook so I didn't get enough out of it. You need to have the book in front of you and also have a notebook. It's a work book so you need to write some things down.
The book was great and really inspiring, and it has some really good point. I'm going to buy the book now.

If I have to suggest just one single book that you have to read to meet all your development needs, both on personal and professional front, it will be The 7 habits...
An entire org culture can be designed and developed based on the book.
As the book says, it's based on timeless principles. It was relevant yesterday, is today and will stay to be in future as well
If you looking for quick hacks or tips, then this is not for you. When you pick it up, make sure you allot enough time to read through all of it patiently. A quick scan while may be of use someway or other, yet, a deep read will definitely be life changing.

The name of this book is underrated for what it really is. If you read about what the 7 habits are, you may laugh at them for being general or think it's just some common-senses. I think we need to really read into the explanation of these 7 habits (For me, there are principals more than just habits) , the examples is the bread and butter of this book that i feel can be related to most of us and they helped me to further understand the 7 principals that everyone should always be conscious of in their lives. There's no evidence that effective people are all following these 7 principals, but like any principals, they are almost “common-sense” to know, but way harder to put in practice. I wish I had read this book earlier in my 20s, and this materials definitely deserves a re-read in different stage of everyone’s lives.

So this guy simplifies the suffering of prisoners of nazi death camps [i.e. Victor Frankl], then uses it [overcoming the suffering] as an example that discipline and determination leads to personal freedom and will.

Through a series of such disciplines - mental, emotional, and moral, principallly using memory and imagination - he exercised his small, embryonic freedom until it grew lager and larger, until he had more freedom than his Nazi captors...

Yeah ok, classy writing.

For the rest it really is a a book from a manager to other managers in the most American (read: corporate) way possible, all about increasing productivity and being "more efficient". Despite the title, there is nothing personal about this.

Add the unnecessary mumbo-jumbo about quadrants and production/production capability balance and Circle of Influence, win/win scenarios and synergies, personal mission statements and....jesus crist...personal mission statements..............

I have no words.

My goal is to give this book zero starts but unfortunately Goodreads won't let me, unfortunately no win/win for me this time.

Few habits have helped me to be more productive and able to land in a win-win situation than a win-lose situation.
I have liked the BeProactive, Seek first to understand and then to be understood and Sharpen the saw habits. Looking forward to read the 8th habit.

The book has, indeed, very good advices. However, it could be summarized in 30 - 70 pages. Due to this, after some pages it becomes really boring and you start to drag, willing to skip to the next chapter.
