Sure it's cute. And it's about books. But too silly for me and in some ways not silly enough. It might work for very animal centric kids aimed at spotting animals. But as an adult I just didn't care all that much. And wouldn't want to read this one over and over again.

This is an incredible book that is all about reading. It is a rhyming story which can be very interesting for children. It is also quite humorous and interesting as it is all about animals enjoying to read and write. There are a variety of animals throughout the text which can be educational for students. In addition, there are many real book titles incorporated throughout such as Goodnight Moon and The Wizard of Oz. Children may be able to relate to these animals because they too many have read these books. The animals enjoy reading so much that a "zoobrary" was built so they could check out books. This is a great topic for students because some may not like to read as much as others. This book has the ideas to spark interest in those individuals that reading can be fun. Overall, it is a fun and enjoyable book with amazing illustrations that add to the humor and excitement.

How could I not love this book? The librarian Molly McGrew mistakenly drives her bookmobile into the zoo, but still finds the perfect book for everyone. She even has "waterproof books for the otter, who never went swimming without Harry Potter." :)

This silly book is about a librarian named Megan who accidentally drove her buss full of books to the zoo! Soon all of the animals wanted to read books just like her and the zoobary was created! This book is a fun way for kids to learn about how awesome books are! I would recommend this book to children in k-1.

Wild about books is a beautifully illustrated book that takes the reader on a wild adventure of housing so many wonderful and exciting books. This book is intended for ages 4-8 and has won the E. B. White Read Aloud Award. I think is a good age group for this book because it is a longer text, however, the illustrations are truly captivating that this book helps this age group work on their listening skills. The illustrator uses what looks like to be colored markers and leaves no negative space in any of their illustrations. I think this is an extremely important element for this age group since the long text would be hard for them to engage with they need something that captivates their attention. I also think the use of color in this book really engages the reader and makes them feel as though they are actively involved in the story. I could see this book being used to introduce an art lesson were students draw a zoo animal reading their favorite book in the zoobrary.

I usually give kids' books two stars, which means "It was okay." Three stars is a rare rating, but this one was fun.

This book was very engaging! My favorite part about the book was that every animal received a book that mirrored them.

In my classroom, I would love to show my students this book in the audio version because I know it'll catch their attention and hopefully encourage them to be readers.

Wild About Books can be located on the Colorin Colorado website. This book is a fun and whimsical way to introduce students to a plethora of books. Within this book, animals are seen reading various real life picture book, poems, and novels. This helps widen a students book selection and ties in a fun element of animals. Each species of animal found their own genre of book they enjoyed. What makes this book stand out is the rhyming words, the images, and the real life connections to books students could easily get their hands on. By incorporating real life elements, it makes the book even more interesting to see the author’s interpretation of what animal would read what book, This silly storyline would draw in any child and help them find which animal they are most alike in terms of book selection. As a teacher, this would be a great book for ELL students because not only does it teach them rhythm of words with the rhyming words in the story, but it also introduces them to various book titles that they may want to read. The book has a nice and easy flow which would cater to ELL students. It bring the fun element of animals as well as aiding the student with English and book selection.
