This book has 4.17 stars, the copyright date is 2004, and the major themes includes zoo animals and reading. My favorite part about this books was how it rhymed and also how the books chosen by the wild animals were specific to their characteristics. For example, the geckos read books that stuck to the walls! So fun! I would use this book as a read aloud in my own classroom.

This was such a fun book - the rhyming was funny and sweet, the illustrations colorful and new words like Zoobrary and bears that licked the pictures right off of the pages. Loved it.

I loved that this was not only a tribute to Dr Seuss but my kids just really enjoyed all the pop culture references. OF COURSE THE OTTERS ARE OBSESSED WITH HARRY POTTER.

This book, "Wild About Books" is a fictional picture book. One unique feature of this book is that almost every line rhymes. This book is ideal for the grade levels, K-3. When kindergarteners are beginning to read, I think this would be a great book to read to them in order to stir up a lot of excitement over reading. For grades 1-3, "Wild About Books" can be used as a model or anchor text for a poetry unit.
