A fascinating manual that guides its readers to introspection and delivers perspective into what it means to be a "Warrior of the Light."

This is a manual that after the first time through could be referenced at any point in the book for uplifting and thoughtful guidance.

Think of this book as a tool and reminder of purpose. If you've read "The Alchemist" by Coehlo and are familiar with pursuing a "Personal Legend" then this book could serve as a familiar companion on your journey.

I read this book a few months ago, and it's been such an enlightenment to read it.

I am not christian, I am more of an atheist, or agnostic you could say.

Even if the Warrior follows the path of God, as a reader you can apply the manual to everyhting you believe in, it's not just a manual to guide you to salvation, it's a guide to help you throughout your life, I don't know how to explain...

Read it, follow the rules and your soul will shine in a brighter light

A peaceful read for a day you don't feel like reading fiction but wouldn't mind someone's thoughts of wisdom.

لم أقرأ جميع كتب كويلو،ولكن هذا الكتاب الثالث له الذي اراه يتناول نفس الموضوع، نفس الفكرة، بل وطريقة طرح لها بشكل يتشابه جدا .. يخيل لي ان كويلو لا يوجد برأسه سوى فكرة الخيمياء والاسطورة الشخصية وهذه المواضيع التي تناولها في الخيميائي، ومن وجهة نظري فإنه لم يكن موفقا ابدا في طرح هذه الفكرة الا في كتاب الخيميائي. اعطي الكتاب نجمة لان كويلو يكرر نفسه كثيرا، يكرر نفسه داخل الكتاب الواحد، ويكرر نفسه بين كتبه، كويلو الخيميائي كان عظيما، أما كويلو بهذا الكتاب فلا يعدو كونه كاتبا بسيطاً. وكما قال في المقدمة ان مادة الكتاب ظهرت لاول مرة في صحيفة؛ وهو بالفعل هنا يبدو كأحد كتاب الصحف، ليس سيئاً جدا، ولكنه ليس جيداً كذلك.

The more Coelho tries to be inspirational, the more he lacks.

Ah, I was a huge fan of this book when I read it and I was possibly 13. Now I look back to it, I only can say that it was a book version of being drama queen. There is no drama at all,in the boook. But, the system of thought is the same as drama queens that tries to make all the problems bigger than they actually are and then start to fight with imaginational enemies.

No, Coelho. Not this. Advicing people to be strong in the way of battlefields and wars and conflicts etc. is not the way this should be happened. But it did anyways.

After tasting the popularity of these kind of "drama queenish, fighter assumptionish of self" books, he kept on writing at this level, not even a step further.

I am truely so sad that this book was my favourite when I'm 13, I'm ashamed of myself. More, I'm ashamed of Coelho for being a victim of popular desires. I wish he was a literature person who writes classy books but he wasn't and he will never be.

This book is a series of rules or observations from the philosophy of what Coelho refers to as the "Warrior of Light." As for plot: there isn't one. This is just a collection of statements on his philosophy. Some of these are interesting and helpful while others didn't quite make sense.

This book was very inspiring to me. It was the right book at the right time. And with being a psychotherapist I have often had very similar thoughts as Paulo Coelho when I work with people, helping them through their pain and suffering. The book is beautifully written and full of symbolism. The Warrior of light served as metaphor for those who serve God and are not perfect, but human striving toward God's light.

Thought I would include some quotes below from Paulo Coelho's book.
"Like the fighter, the Warrior of Light is aware of his or her immense strength, and will never fight with anyone who does not deserve the honor of combat".

"A Warrior of the Light might not understand the Almighty's intentions, but he allows his life to develop according to His creator's plans. He asks to be spared suffering, he asks for joy in the Good Fight, but he never forgets to add, " Thy will be done."

" The Warrior plunges unhesitatingly into the river of passions always flowing through his life."
" A Warrior can distinguish between the transient and enduring."

" Why bother to sword fight when you are so much better than they are?" asks a traveler regarding the Warrior of light sword fighting with his students.

"Because in challenging me, what they really want is to talk to me, and this is my way of keeping the dialogue open," replies the Warrior.

" A Warrior of light does not waste his time listening to provocations, he has a destiny to fulfill. He tries to establish waht he can truly rely on. And he always checks that he carries three things with him: faith, hope and love.

If these three things are there, he does not hestitate to go forward."

"A Warrior of Light values a child's eyes because they are able to look at the world without bitterness. When he wants to find out if the person beside him is worthy of his trust, he tries to see him as a child would."

I mean, totally. Little kids are so great a spotting immediately if an adult is trustworthy or not. That is why paedophiles have such an impossible task.

But what if I am trying to be a person who travels? And have set up a cool Instagram account just for that reason?

Ah. It would have been so much easier for those in Auschwitz if they knew this. Then they could have, like, totes chilled about the whole thing.

I truly despise this man and his entire ridiculous output, not least because of the poor millions of readers who give their hard-earned money to him on the basis of a complete con-trick. I am convinced he knows very well that everything he writes is bullshit. It is all marketing.

The only good thing about him is he has given the wonderful Margaret Jull Costa some translating work.

Great book of wisdom!

I’ve read two other books by Paulo and they were ok, just ok, “The Alchemist” and “By The River Piedra I sat down and Wept”.

He seems to write with a spiritual sense of some Christian mixed with new ageyness that makes a feel good, but I’m always trying to figure out if it’s more spiritual or heretical. I’m not interested enough to investigate further than theorizing and I’m definitely not going through the material again.

Overall, I’d give it slightly above average, but only slightly.

worrior of light أو فارس الضوء، أنا لو قريت الكتاب دا ومعرفش مين اللي كتبه كنت هقول كويلو، كتاب صغير وخلص بسرعة بس مليان قيم وrich كدة، كل واحد وأي واحد ممكن يبقي فارس نور ف المعركة بتاعته ممكن تتفق او تختلف مع الكتاب بس الأكيد انك هتستفيد، الكتاب فيه قوة ونور وطاقة. حتي لو كلام الكتاب مش علمي او مفيش دلائل عليه فكمية الروحانيات اللي فيه بتخليه مؤثر.
من المقتبسات اللي عجبتني "الحدس هو لغة الله" "ان الشيطان يسكن التفاصيل" "فارس النور مؤمن. فلأنه يؤمن بالمعجزات تبدأ المعجزات بالتحقق" "فارس النور يثق بالجميع. إنه يرتكب عدة أخطاء، وأحيانًا يعتقد أنه أكثرأهمية مما هو عليه حقًا، لكنه لا يكذب"
