I simply cannot help but crack up laughing while reading this series, and this volume is filled with more of the same side-splitting funny stuff.

The antics and absurdities of the Cromartie gang never fail to entertain, and it's a joy to see how they handle these unexpected challenges in their own unique and comical way.

Whether it's dealing with the theft of bicycles or the concept of marriage, the gang's reactions are sure to leave readers in stitches.

Eiji Nonaka's talent for creating humorous and engaging stories shines through once again in this latest installment of the Cromartie series.

My focus was firmly fixed on the rather astonishing fact that they actually inserted the Terminator into this story, only to have the gorilla promptly steal his motorcycle.

This unexpected turn of events was both bewildering and somewhat comical. However, what followed in the last chapters was equally remarkable. We were treated to a series of hilarious and dramatic scenes revolving around the theme of marriage.

Somehow, these chapters seemed even more out of the blue than the events that preceded them. It was as if the author had decided to take the story in a completely new and unexpected direction.

Once again, I find myself wondering how the author managed to maintain the momentum and keep the story going for so long. It's truly a testament to their creativity and ability to keep the reader engaged, even when the plot takes the most unlikely of twists and turns.

Overall, this story has been a wild ride, full of surprises and unexpected moments that have kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

I really enjoyed reading this volume, but I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed that Freddie and the Gorilla didn't have more of a presence. They are such interesting and unique characters, and I was looking forward to seeing more of their adventures and interactions with the other characters in the story.

Perhaps in future volumes, the author will give Freddie and the Gorilla more screen time and develop their storylines further. I think there is a lot of potential for these two characters, and I would love to see them become more central to the plot.

Overall, though, I still thought this volume was a great read, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the author has in store for us in the next installment.

Another highly amusing volume hails from the talented manga author Eiji Nonaka.

This particular work cleverly pokes fun at the insecurities and rather petty concerns that a group of guys in a Japanese high school experience.

Interestingly, a gorilla takes on a prominent role within the story, adding an element of the unexpected and further enhancing the comical nature.

The humor found in this manga is somewhat reminiscent of the cult classic Space Ghost Coast to Coast. It has that same unique blend of absurdity and wit that keeps readers entertained from start to finish.

Nonaka's ability to capture the idiosyncrasies of high school life and turn them into laugh-out-loud moments is truly remarkable.

Yutaka "Motion Sickness" Takenouchi makes his long-awaited return in Cromartie High School, Vol. 8. He has been absent for an extended period, spending his time in therapy to overcome his one physical weakness. The inability to ride in any vehicle without getting violently ill has been a major handicap for the gargantuan student. However, his peers are completely unaware of this aspect of his persona, and they still view him as the most terrifying delinquent among them.

The ever-popular Mechazawa, although prominently featured on the cover and title page (in a modified form), makes only a brief cameo in the opening chapter. Fortunately, the introduction of a new character, an inventive spoof of The Terminator, more than makes up for this.

In this volume, the students of Cromartie High School reveal their more contemplative sides. They engage in discussions about the nuances of school evacuation drills versus actual emergencies, analyze the perceived variances within an individual's staid personality, and offer advice to the unworldly Hayashida on the ways of courtship. Interestingly, Hayashida has been considering marriage in recent days, despite how implausible it may seem.

Of course, none of these discussions result in any logical solutions due to various flaws and whatnot. In fact, regular conversation appears to be the most dangerous thing that these young thugs engage in.

The chapters in this volume were written around the time when a Cromartie High School animated program was announced. The book provides specific details about the anticipated scheduling of the program, including a fifteen-minute airtime, weekly, at 1 a.m. on a Friday morning. This isolated time slot seems perfectly suited for the uniquely twisted series, as author Eiji Nonaka states that it is "perfectly in keeping with the spirit of Cromartie High." It's hard to argue with that line of reasoning! However, there is little production information provided, aside from the company (Production I.G.) and the esteemed director (Hiroaki Sakurai).

For American readers, this information is old news, as ads for the English translated series have been running for several volumes. This is due to a three-year lapse between the original production of the manga and its subsequent American release date.

All in all, Volume 8 is a riotously entertaining addition to the Cromartie High School library. It continues to deliver the same brand of humor, absurdity, and unexpected twists that fans have come to love. Whether you're a long-time fan of the series or a newcomer, this volume is sure to provide plenty of laughs and engaging storylines.
