Inspirada y terrorífica historia de putrefacción, un eco-terror malsano como pocos, que deja un regusto muy amargo en la boca.

It is a story that combines inspiration and terror, a kind of sick eco-terror that is rare. It leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth.

Perhaps it is not on the same level as Uzumaki, but which work can truly match it?

This story takes readers on a journey through a world of decay and horror, where the boundaries between reality and nightmare are blurred.

The description of putrefaction is vivid and detailed, making the reader feel as if they are witnessing the process firsthand.

The eco-terror aspect adds an additional layer of depth and significance, highlighting the potential consequences of our actions on the environment.

Although it may not reach the heights of Uzumaki, it still manages to captivate and terrify readers, leaving them with a sense of unease long after they have finished reading.

Overall, it is a unique and unforgettable work that is sure to appeal to fans of horror and those interested in exploring the darker side of human nature and the environment.

This was one extremely creepy read!

The story had an eerie atmosphere that really kept me on the edge of my seat.

And let's not forget about the graphics! They were truly outstanding and added a whole new level of creepiness to the overall experience.

I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of the exceptional art. It was so well done that it really enhanced the story.

However, the characters could have used a little bit more depth. They felt a bit one-dimensional at times.

But overall, it was still a great read and I would definitely recommend it to others who enjoy creepy stories and amazing art.

Yeah, it's truly remarkable how the metaphor within these stories, especially this particular one, seems to elude the understanding of most people.

Across the globe, a significant number of men, and perhaps even more so in Japan, spend their entire lives engaged in the arduous task of providing for their families and maintaining their houses. It's as if they are trapped in a never-ending cycle of responsibility.

Junji Ito, on the other hand, demonstrates a remarkable level of cleverness in his approach to horror. His works have the ability to tap into the deepest fears and insecurities of his readers, making them question the very nature of their existence.

Perhaps it is through this exploration of the human psyche that Ito is able to create such powerful and thought-provoking stories. Or maybe it's simply his unique perspective on the world that allows him to see the horror that lies beneath the surface of our everyday lives.

Whatever the case may be, there's no denying that Junji Ito is a master of his craft, and his work continues to captivate and terrify audiences around the world.

Yeah, I understand the social commentary within it.

However, to be honest, that was kind of funny.

It's interesting how something that is supposed to convey a deeper message can also have an element of humor.

Maybe it's the unexpected way in which the social commentary is presented or the absurdity of the situation being described.

Either way, it managed to make me laugh while also making me think.

It shows that social commentary doesn't always have to be serious and heavy-handed.

Sometimes, a bit of humor can make the message more accessible and engaging.

It can draw people in and make them more likely to pay attention to the underlying issues.

So, while I may have initially been focused on the social commentary aspect, I ended up also enjoying the humor.

It was a nice combination that made the whole experience quite unique.

Once one makes the decision to read Junji Ito, one has a fairly good idea of what to anticipate.

So, it comes as no surprise that I ended up with a nasty and creepy story. However, my rating of four stars is due to a few factors. There is an annoying female side character whose actions are rather repetitive, which detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, there is a hole in the explanation provided for the legs on the fish. If this is supposed to be connected to the previous events, it makes very little sense.

Nevertheless, I did find myself enjoying certain aspects of the story. The atmosphere that Junji Ito creates is truly remarkable. The tension and creepiness that pervade the narrative are palpable, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. Despite the flaws, the overall effect is one that lingers in the mind long after the final page has been turned.

Overall, while there are some issues with the story, the strengths in terms of atmosphere and creepiness make it a worthwhile read for fans of Junji Ito's work.

This book is truly a strange and eerie one.

It is filled with all these flying-walking fishes that possess the foulest and nastiest smell.

The very concept of such creatures is enough to send shivers down one's spine.

Moreover, the artwork in the book is stunning, but by'stunning', I don't mean in a beautiful or pleasant way.

No, it is creepy as hell.

The illustrations seem to bring these strange and smelly fishes to life in the most disturbing manner.

They add an extra layer of creepiness to the already weird story.

Overall, this book is not for the faint of heart.

It is a unique and disturbing read that will leave you with a sense of unease long after you've finished it.

Whether you're a fan of the strange and unusual or simply looking for a book that will challenge your perception, this one might just be worth checking out.

Just be prepared for a truly creepy experience.

This is a very good first start of this story.

It doesn't surprise me that Junji Ito's art is among my favorites. And neither does the fact that the plot is incredibly creepy.

My only complaint about this volume was Kaori. I must admit that she is unbearable throughout the story. And constantly expects others to do something about it. Lady, stop whining like a five-year-old girl, get off your butt and do something yourself!

Anyway, this is an excellent volume.

The detailed and eerie illustrations by Junji Ito truly bring the story to life. The way he depicts the characters and the settings adds to the overall sense of horror.

Although Kaori's character was a bit of a let-down, it didn't overshadow the other aspects of the volume. The story still managed to keep me on the edge of my seat and eager to see what would happen next.

I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series and seeing how the story develops.
