This collection is far better than the first volume.

Interestingly, all of the stories within it happen to be both strong and inspired to an equal degree.

It's quite remarkable how each tale manages to maintain this balance, captivating the reader with its engaging plot and thought-provoking elements.

Of course, Ito has the ability to be even scarier than what is presented here.

However, I must admit that I might be a bit desensitized at this point.

Perhaps it's due to having read so many of his works or being exposed to a wide range of horror in general.

Nonetheless, this collection still manages to hold its own and offers a unique reading experience.

It showcases Ito's talent for creating vivid and memorable stories that leave a lasting impression on the reader.

Whether you're a die-hard fan of Ito or new to his work, this collection is definitely worth checking out.

Tomie's adventures continue!

In this volume, some crucial elements are incorporated into her mythology. Specifically, the concept that each Tomie desires to be the sole living one and they all possess a murderous impulse towards other versions. This is presented in a rather humorous manner with one of my favorite incarnations of the titular character - the strange lump head in a trash can version.

It's interesting to see how this new aspect of Tomie's nature unfolds. The idea of multiple Tomies vying for survival and having such violent tendencies adds a new layer of complexity to the story. The presentation of the lump head in a trash can version is both comical and诡异. It makes you wonder what other strange and interesting manifestations of Tomie we will see in the future.

Overall, this volume of Tomie's adventures is shaping up to be an exciting and engaging read, full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.

Sooooo graphic...

I feel myself getting itchy looking at certain scenes.

The description is so vivid and detailed that it seems to jump right off the page.

Every little detail is presented in such a way that it makes my skin crawl.

It's as if I can see and feel everything that is happening, and it's not a pleasant experience.

The author has done an excellent job of creating a sense of unease and discomfort, which is both impressive and a little bit disturbing.

I find myself constantly squirming in my seat as I read, unable to look away but also not really wanting to continue.

It's a strange mix of fascination and revulsion, and I'm not sure how I feel about it all.

But one thing is for sure, this article has definitely made an impact on me.

Well, this volume was definitely a step up from the first one. I could clearly see the Junji Ito that I adore, with his stunningly beautiful women and captivatingly interesting characters!

Although it still isn't among my absolute favorite works of his, it was truly very interesting.

I just have the thought that this series doesn't possess the same level of scariness as his other creations.

However, I am extremely glad that I'm engaged in this re-reading marathon. Because upon the second go-round, I had a much deeper appreciation for this volume.

There are some exquisitely beautiful portraits within, and also some delightfully creepy twists and turns. It's really nice!

The images included, such as those with alt tags like "Tomie-v02-c03-091", "Tomie-v02-c02-056", "Tomie-v02-c03-101", and "Tomie-v02-c06-205", add an extra layer of visual interest to the overall experience.

All in all, it's been a worthwhile read, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else this re-reading journey has in store for me.

It was good but not Junji Ito good.

Junji Ito is a renowned horror manga artist whose works are known for their unique and disturbing art style, as well as their engaging and often mind-bending storylines.

When comparing something to Junji Ito's work, it implies a high standard of quality and a certain level of creepiness and innovation.

While the thing being described may have been good in its own right, it didn't quite reach the level of excellence that Junji Ito is able to achieve.

It could be that the art wasn't as detailed or the story wasn't as captivating.

Or perhaps it simply didn't have the same ability to send shivers down your spine and leave you with a sense of unease long after you've finished experiencing it.

In any case, it's clear that Junji Ito's work sets a very high bar for the horror genre, and anything that falls short of that bar is likely to be considered somewhat lacking.

Obsession as the center of human terror. The stories about "Tomie" by Junji Ito are an acquired taste.

It is not only interesting to observe the transformation and refinement of the artist's style. In this second volume, one can already perceive the themes that have influenced Guillermo del Toro, Hideo Kojima, and many others.

The concept of obsession is explored in a truly disturbing way. Tomie's allure and the lengths to which people go because of their obsession with her create a sense of unease that lingers long after reading.

The detailed illustrations add to the overall atmosphere of terror, making the reader feel as if they are a part of the twisted world that Ito has created.

Whether you are a fan of horror or simply interested in unique and thought-provoking stories, the "Tomie" series is definitely worth checking out.

Tomie is a character full of vengefulness, always manipulating and conniving.

However, I find myself strangely in love with this complex and captivating creation. Maybe it's not the traditional type of love, but rather a fascination with the artistry and the unforgettable nature of this masterpiece of collection.

This great horror comic has truly left an impression on me, and I'm already eager to explore more of Ito's work.

I can't wait to see what other terrifying and enthralling stories he has in store for us.

The world of Ito's comics is one that I'm completely drawn into, and I'm excited to continue my journey of discovery.

This volume I liked more than the first one.

The stories are much more interesting and, moreover, the drawing improves a great deal.

In the first volume, although it had its charm, the stories sometimes felt a bit flat and the illustrations were not as engaging.

However, in this second volume, the author has managed to create a more captivating world with more complex and exciting storylines.

The characters are more developed and the plot twists keep the reader on the edge of their seat.

The improvement in the drawing is also very noticeable. The illustrations are more detailed, colorful, and bring the stories to life in a much more vivid way.

Overall, I would highly recommend this volume to anyone who enjoyed the first one or who is a fan of this genre. It is a great read that will keep you entertained from start to finish.

I thought it was better than the first one. The chapters were less repetitive and had a bit more cohesion and some continuity.

This improvement is quite noticeable. It makes the reading experience more enjoyable and engaging. The author seems to have put in more effort to ensure that the story flows smoothly and that the ideas are presented in a more organized manner.

The reduction in repetition helps to keep the reader's attention and prevents them from getting bored. Additionally, the added cohesion and continuity give the story a sense of completeness and make it easier for the reader to follow along.

Overall, this is a significant improvement over the first version and shows the author's growth and development as a writer. I look forward to seeing more of their work in the future.

3.5 stars.

This rating indicates a somewhat above-average performance or quality. It suggests that there are several aspects that are quite good, but perhaps there are also a few areas that could be improved.

When a product or service receives a 3.5-star rating, it means that it has managed to meet most of the expectations of the users or customers. It might have some unique features or qualities that set it apart from the competition.

However, it also implies that there is still room for growth and development. Maybe the user experience could be enhanced further, or some minor flaws need to be addressed.

Overall, a 3.5-star rating is a decent score that shows potential and indicates that with a little more effort, the product or service could reach an even higher level of excellence.

Junji Ito's works are constantly improving in terms of plot and illustration level. Each new piece seems to reach a new height, leaving readers in awe. It's truly remarkable how he manages to create such captivating and terrifying stories, while also presenting them with such detailed and stunning illustrations.

There's no doubt that Junji Ito is in a league of his own. His unique style and vision have made him a master of the horror genre. And as I continue to explore his works, I'm always eager to see what he has in store for us next.

I'm currently on the third part of one of his stories, and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. I have a feeling that it's going to be another unforgettable experience.
