This collection is far better than the first volume. Interestingly, all of the stories within it happen to be both strong and inspired to an equal degree. It's quite remarkable how each tale manages to maintain this balance, captivating the reader with its engaging plot and thought-provoking elements. Of course, Ito has the ability to be even scarier than what is presented here. However, I must admit that I might be a bit desensitized at this point. Perhaps it's due to having read so many of his works or being exposed to a wide range of horror in general. Nonetheless, this collection still manages to hold its own and offers a unique reading experience. It showcases Ito's talent for creating vivid and memorable stories that leave a lasting impression on the reader. Whether you're a die-hard fan of Ito or new to his work, this collection is definitely worth checking out.
