I don't see the reason why Junji suddenly decided to abandon the more or less linear plot, cut the manga right in the middle of the story and transform "Tomie 2" into a collection of stories. Some were really good, some were average, and some were bad. And the biggest criticism for me is the repetitiveness that after a certain time affected me so that even the visual part of the manga wasn't that great. Simply the same thing happened too many times in the same way. Therefore, I would especially single out the story "Hair" as the most valuable one from the whole manga which was outstanding and completely original!
More of the same stuff as Vol. 1, but it still isn't getting old yet. There is SUCH a variety of different ways to do the same awful things. It belongs to the "you THINK you know what's happening...but you don't really" variety. Here, the explanations shift and mutate with as much variety and horror as the character herself. It's like a never-ending maze of uncertainties and surprises. Each turn brings a new twist that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The storyteller is masterful in creating this sense of mystery and anticipation. You can't help but be drawn in, eager to find out what will happen next. Even though it's more of the same in some ways, the unique and unpredictable nature of it all makes it constantly engaging and thrilling.
