I was hoping to rate it higher.
The first stories seemed to me to end better than the last ones, but I didn't like the ending of any of them, it was too abrupt.
The art is amazing.
What happened to me, though, is that in many cases instead of scaring me or generating a similar feeling, Tomie would make me laugh when she complained and asked for things like a spoiled little girl shouting while she painted them.

Tomie is a unique character. Her actions and behaviors often deviate from the norm, which makes her both fascinating and a bit disturbing. The stories in which she appears are filled with strange and unexpected events that keep the reader on the edge of their seat. However, as I mentioned before, the endings of some of the stories could have been more developed. They felt rushed and didn't provide a satisfying conclusion.

Despite this, the art in the manga is truly outstanding. The illustrations bring Tomie to life and add to the overall atmosphere of the stories. The details in the drawings are impressive, and the use of color is effective in creating a sense of unease and mystery. Overall, while I had some issues with the endings, I still enjoyed reading Tomie and would recommend it to fans of horror manga.

Di Tomie Part 2, the story still follows the mysterious and beautiful Tomie, a girl with the strange ability to come back to life even after dying countless times. Her beauty is like a magnet, making everyone obsessed, but that obsession always leads to madness and tragedy. Tomie Part 2 provides a more intense conclusion to the story of Tomie as the last 3 parts form one continuous narrative. Junji Ito is extremely clever in building a creepy atmosphere while adding psychological elements that make you think about human obsession with beauty and immortality. Hm.. to be honest, I like Tomie 1 more than Tomie 2. In my opinion, many parts of the story are just so so, neither very good nor very bad, it was just okay

For this first comic, I rate it 3.8 out of 5 stars.

It is not as interesting as the first one. In the first comic, the story is more exciting.

The plot of this comic seems to lack some of the elements that made the first one so engaging.

However, it still has its own charm. The illustrations are well-done, and the characters are vividly portrayed.

Despite not being as good as the first one, it is still a worthy read for fans of the series.

Maybe in the future installments, the author will be able to bring back the excitement and make it an even better comic.

Tomie is truly a complete nightmare.

She has a charm that seems almost otherworldly, yet it is a charm that brings only destruction and chaos in its wake.

Wherever she goes, people are drawn to her like moths to a flame, but this attraction quickly turns into obsession and then into something much darker.

Her beauty is both captivating and terrifying, as if it is a mask that hides a truly malevolent spirit.

Tomie's actions are unpredictable and often cruel, leaving a trail of broken hearts, shattered lives, and even death in her path.

She seems to take pleasure in the pain and suffering of others, and no one is safe from her influence.

Whether it is through her manipulation of those around her or her ability to create clones of herself, Tomie is a force to be reckoned with, and one that will haunt the dreams of those who encounter her for a long time to come.

I really liked this work.

However, I must admit that it lacked a deeper story to unite the chapters.

This aspect somewhat hindered my overall enjoyment.

Nevertheless, I have to give it 4 stars for its creativity and creepiness.

The author has managed to create an atmosphere that is both engaging and spine-chilling.

The unique ideas and concepts presented in the work are truly remarkable.

It's just that without a stronger narrative thread tying everything together, it felt a bit disjointed at times.

Despite this flaw, I still found myself drawn to the story and eager to see what would happen next.

I hope the author will consider adding more depth to the story in future works to make it even more captivating.

Overall, it's a promising piece with a lot of potential.

Tomie is a fictional character who often seems to have a knack for always landing on top.

She has a certain charm and allure that attracts people to her, yet she also has a dark and manipulative side.

Despite the chaos and destruction she leaves in her wake, she somehow manages to come out on top in various situations.

Perhaps it's her beauty that allows her to get away with so much, or maybe it's her ability to play on people's emotions.

Whatever the reason, Tomie's ability to always land on top is both fascinating and disturbing.

It makes us question the nature of good and evil, and whether there are truly consequences for our actions.

In the end, Tomie remains an enigma, a character who continues to captivate and haunt us with her ability to always seem to come out ahead.

Junji Ito is a renowned horror manga artist, and his works have always been highly anticipated by fans.

Recently, I came across a piece of his work that I believe is the best I've read since Uzumaki.

The story is filled with his unique and disturbing art style, which vividly brings to life the terrifying scenes and characters.

The plot is equally engaging, full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.

Each panel is carefully crafted, with every detail contributing to the overall atmosphere of horror and unease.

It's not just a simple horror story, but also a deep exploration of human nature and the darker side of our emotions.

I highly recommend this work to all fans of Junji Ito and horror manga in general.

It's a must-read that will leave you with a lasting impression.

Brrr, how tough he is. Do men pursue the image of a schoolboy? Well, let's push this pursuit to the maximum - until the desire to dismember, destroy this youth, and bring this beauty to superhuman capabilities? Yes, let's. For this beauty, they will lose their minds, do horrible things, until they destroy each other.

Here it is quite noticeable how the author has grown with each story, increasingly grappling with the detail of the images and the queerness of the plot. Very cool!

It seems that the author is constantly evolving and exploring new territories in his works. The description of the men's pursuit of the schoolboy's image and the extreme actions they might take add a sense of drama and intensity. The mention of the author's growth in handling details and plot oddities shows that he is not afraid to take risks and experiment. Overall, it makes for an interesting and engaging read.

It was okay.

However, it could be much, much, MUCH better.

Here's my issue. I understand that Junji Ito is the new sensation and all, and he's truly awesome. His artwork is great (for the most part), and the stories I've read so far have mostly good and amazing ideas. But the execution is where I have a problem.

You see, there's a main theme in his stories, and there are these episodic-like chapters where something happens to someone you don't really care about at all, and it's mostly insignificant to the main story most of the time. But it occurs just so you can witness some creepy dismemberment or something similar.

There's a complete lack of character development, and that's what really hurts the most. The characters' reactions and choices are often incredibly dumb without any reason or logic, which also insults my intelligence.

Other than that, it's still kind of fun to read, and you definitely want to see what happens next and at the end. But unfortunately, it was a chore to read some of the stories, and that's why I had to take it down a star.

PS. No. It wasn't as good as Uzumaki.

Tomie is a manga series that I initially found quite good.

However, as I continued reading over time, it started to feel repetitive. While there were indeed some stories that showed innovation and brought fresh perspectives, there were others where the plot seemed to follow a similar pattern.

Despite this, I still have a certain love for the series. The unique and often disturbing atmosphere that Tomie creates is quite captivating.

Nevertheless, reading a large volume of Tomie at once can be a bit cumbersome. The constant appearance of Tomie and her various manipulations can become overwhelming.

Overall, Tomie is a manga that has its strengths and weaknesses. It has the ability to draw readers in with its intriguing stories and characters, but it also has the potential to become tiresome if not read in moderation.

Honestly, I was about to not recommend it. But upon recapitulation and evaluation, I prefer to give more weight to the positive elements.

Still, the mystery surrounding who Tomie is doesn't convince me due to the lack of elements that give us some clue about her origins. I don't ask for them to reveal all of her origin, but at least give more indications to theorize about what it could be. In "Uzumaki", we had several elements that offered material for reflecting on the origin of the curse, and in "Hellstar Remina", the lack of details contributed to the represented horror. I would also point out that, at times, the stories seem absurdly disconnected, which makes it difficult to place them in a coherent timeline.

Nevertheless, it is a sublime exercise of imagination both narratively and visually. The fact that Ito managed to create so many memorable monstrosities from a single individual is worthy of applause. Moreover, his stories are very refreshing. For example, there is a chapter dedicated to making beer from an immortal corpse that regenerates, and this is just a sample of the huge imagination of the mangaka. It is also charming to observe how Junji Ito's drawing improves significantly as the chapters progress. In general, he manages to create simple but not simplistic characters, and the rhythm is quite well achieved. Looking back, it is a relatively solid manga, really.
