I really liked the story named Painter in particular.
The story of Painter seems to have a special charm that attracts me deeply.
It might be the unique plot, the vivid characters, or the profound themes that it explores.
As I read through it, I found myself completely immersed in the world that the author has created.
The details are so well-described that I could almost picture every scene in my mind.
The emotions of the characters are also very palpable, making me feel as if I was experiencing their joys and sorrows along with them.
Overall, the story of Painter is a truly wonderful piece of work that I would highly recommend to anyone who loves reading.
The works of Professor Junji Ito are numerous, but it cannot be denied that one of the most well-known and talked-about works of the professor must be 'Tomie'. For the 'Tomie' collection, volumes 1 and 2 are both compilations of short stories about the mysterious woman named 'Tomie'. She is beautiful and charming, but also has a mysterious and dark side. Men of all ages are attracted to her and fall in love with her. Sometimes, their love becomes so intense that they even want to kill her.
In the middle of the first volume of the 'Tomie' collection, it is the beginning of Tomie's story, the origin of the legend of the beautiful and mysterious woman. Tomie is a beautiful girl in the class who likes to play with men's hearts. Young and old men are all crazy about her. However, because of her excessive charm, the men fight each other because of their longing and jealousy. In the end, it leads to a murder. Tomie is killed, and her body is dismembered by everyone and thrown away in different places to cover up the crime. But no one knows that the body parts multiply and turn into new Tomie again and again, resulting in many strange stories for readers to follow.
I'm very happy to have read the story of Tomie. Hahaha. I have been following the works of the professor for many years, but I have never read the story of Tomie before. Why? Hehe, because the 'Tomie' collection is very difficult to buy, especially the first two volumes. It took me many years to buy the complete set. But once I read it, I found it very interesting. I have read many works (many episodes) of the professor before, but Tomie is still a story that is as interesting as other works. It has a unique charm of mystery and strangeness. Reading it, I can't help but wonder what kind of person Tomie is. She died and came back to life again. Hahaha.
The truth is, super super super sad.
I have suffered the maximum hook to Tomie as if I were one of her victims. I would go to sleep after reading a chapter, I had a 5-minute gap during the day and read a little more. I would go to take a nap thinking that I could take advantage of the time reading Tomie......
The drawing is top as always! Since this is the second volume, it doesn't have as much evolution (or at least I haven't noticed it as I did in the first volume which was something exaggerated), that the last stories are connected has seemed great to me because I never thought this would happen with Tomie. I hope all my desires that they release more compilation volumes in Spain because I know that I will never get tired of her.
It's not my favorite story/character of Junji Ito, but I missed it so much that it seemed to me as if it were the first time I read it! A 10, really.
P.S. Millions of thanks to Alberto for having left it to me
