I think this book was extremely interesting.

Hikaru enters a tournament and actually gets to play. It's really exciting to see him participate.

However, when Sai starts playing, they completely dominate. Their performance is so outstanding that it makes others think he won by fluke.

I was truly surprised that they won, but unfortunately, they got disqualified. It's a bit of a disappointment after such a great win.

This turn of events really adds to the drama and makes the story even more engaging.

I can't wait to see what happens next in the book.

Sai is truly an adorable being.

Her charm and cuteness are simply irresistible.

From her sweet smile to her gentle nature, everything about Sai is endearing.

She has a way of brightening up any room she enters with her presence.

Whether she is playing or just being herself, Sai always manages to bring joy to those around her.

Her eyes are like two shining stars, full of curiosity and innocence.

It's impossible not to fall in love with Sai at first sight.

She is a precious gem that deserves all the love and care in the world.

With her by your side, life is sure to be filled with happiness and laughter.

Another stand-in here, but I have read this volume. It was an amazing book. However, what follows below is not so much.

Stand-in: What is my life? I'm not sure I want to read recommendations from these people anymore. 1 star.

This review seems to express a bit of disappointment. The person initially thought the book was amazing, but then something changed their perspective. Maybe the content that came after the volume they read didn't meet their expectations. The statement about not wanting to read recs from certain people anymore could imply that they had high hopes based on those recommendations, but were let down.

It would be interesting to know more details about what specifically caused the change in their opinion. Was it a change in the writing style, a plot twist that didn't work for them, or something else entirely? Without that information, it's a bit difficult to fully understand their stance.

Overall, this review gives us a glimpse into the reviewer's thought process and their experience with the book and the people who recommended it.

I still find myself deeply loving the go master. The way he maneuvers the pieces on the go board is like a beautiful symphony, captivating and enchanting. His every move seems to be calculated with precision and wisdom, leaving me in awe. The go master has a certain charm that draws me in, and I can't help but be fascinated by his skills and strategies.

Watching him play is like witnessing a master at work, and it always leaves me inspired. I admire his dedication and passion for the game, and I strive to learn from him. Whether it's the way he analyzes the board or the way he makes decisions under pressure, there is always something to be gained from observing the go master.

I know that my love for the go master will continue to grow, and I look forward to many more opportunities to watch him play and learn from him. He is truly an inspiration, and I feel fortunate to have discovered his talent. :)

In this second book of the series, the story begins to hint at the exciting possibility of becoming interesting. Hikaru, perhaps, starts to display some promise of becoming proficient in go.

Anyway, I did manage to learn something about go. There is this concept of mirror play. If the first player places a stone in the center of the board, then he can simply mirror the moves of the other player. Thus, it appears that he can always keep up with the other player, even if the other player is significantly stronger.

The mirror idea sounds quite good, but this book reveals one way to defeat mirror play. However, I won't elaborate on it here.

Overall, the second book of the series offers some interesting insights into the game of go and keeps the reader engaged with the developing story of Hikaru's progress.

This story is like a warm bowl of comfort food for me.

I just can't quite figure out exactly what it is that keeps pulling me back to reread the book and rewatch the anime.

However, my interest in the game of Go definitely plays a significant role.

The strategic and intellectual aspects of Go are truly captivating.

Moreover, I really appreciate that this is a generally positive story.

It's about a character's journey to become good at something, which is both inspiring and heartwarming.

It shows that with dedication, hard work, and a passion for something, one can achieve great things.

Each time I engage with this story, I am reminded of the importance of perseverance and the joy that comes from mastering a skill.

It's a story that I will continue to cherish and revisit time and time again.

This volume is truly for all ages.✨

It was an absolute delight to read, and in my opinion, it was as good as the last one, if not even better. Hikaru has reached a significant milestone as he is finally playing GO for his own personal reasons. This shows his growth and maturation as a character.

Moreover, his budding friendship with Sai is simply adorable. The way they interact and support each other is heartwarming. However, I can't help but feel a sense of unease about the rivalry between Hikaru and Akira Toya.

Akira is completely unaware that Hikaru had the assistance of the spirit of an ancestor in their first game of GO. Poor Akira doesn't even realize that it was Sai who defeated him the first time. Hikaru only recently started taking the game of GO seriously.

Perhaps there is a silver lining to this situation. Akira and Hikaru now have a proper rival, which will surely push them both to new heights. Despite my unease about Akira's predicament, I am eagerly looking forward to seeing the journey of both Akira and Hikaru as GO players.

Hikaru keeps Akira on his toes, preventing him from becoming complacent due to his status as one of the best GO players. On the other hand, Akira and his father serve as an inspiration for Hikaru, motivating him to become a better player and develop a deeper appreciation for Japanese GO.

They truly help each other improve not only as players but also as individuals. I am wholeheartedly rooting for both boys and can't wait to see where their paths lead them!

Though I had a certain fondness for the first volume, I must admit that I'm not overly invested in it. This could potentially be attributed to my limited knowledge of Go, although I'm glad that this volume finally took the time to explain the rules!

I find Sai to be absolutely adorable. His unwavering love for the game is truly endearing.

Akira is also quite charming. He is not only polite but also highly aspirational. Moreover, he is striving to become a better player for all the right reasons.

However, Hikaru comes across as rather boring to me. He seems to fit the all-too-familiar "stupid brain with a heart of gold and god powers" archetype of a shonen protagonist.

As for Akari, she's just kind of there in the story. What's the purpose of her character? They included a girl character, but she lacks any real wants or needs. For goodness sake, give her a proper backstory!

Oh, and there was also a Shogi player in this volume. I wonder if we'll ever see him again?

Anyway, this series is basically like The Prince of Tennis, but without it being a team sport.

Yay! They win the tournament! It's such an exciting moment for them.

However, the joy is short-lived as they get disqualified. What a disappointment!

HIKARU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems like something unexpected has happened.

Anyway, at least they got recognised as better players. Their skills and efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Hopefully, they will have more luck next time. Maybe they will learn from this experience and come back even stronger.

We can only wish them the best and look forward to seeing their future performances.

Hikaru Shindo, who is still in Elementary School, is compelled to participate in the Middle School Go Tournament.

He begins to play Go independently and has demonstrated some intermittent flashes of brilliance in the game, yet he remains a novice.

In the second half of the tankobon, the events occur in the Spring. Shindo enters Haze Middle School and becomes a member of the Go Club, which consists of only three people.

Meanwhile, Akira Toya, despite his professional-level status, joins the Go Club at his school. His motivation is to play against Shindo (Sai via Shindo), but Shindo refuses to play him until he improves.

The story is developing pleasantly, with the conflict among Toya, Shindo, and Sai blooming beautifully. The art is as excellent as ever – I truly relish Takeshi Obata's work. I am eagerly anticipating reading the next tankobon.

I am excited to see how the relationship between Shindo and Toya will evolve, and how Shindo will progress in his Go skills.

The addition of Sai to the story adds an interesting dynamic, and I wonder how his presence will continue to impact Shindo and the other characters.

Overall, this tankobon has left me eager for more and has once again shown why Hikaru no Go is such a great series.

So much stuff happens in this one. I could have sworn I read two different manga today!

Akira continues to be the sweetest child. He probably visits your grandma and gently beats her at board games. She calls you and talks about what a sweet young man he is. And there's no judgement in her voice, but still you feel you ought to learn how to play Go or something.

This is the book that does a full breakdown of the game, by the way, or at least a very beginner's breakdown. I have determined that it is an awful game and will henceforth put my full brainpower into caring about Akira Touya.

Hikaru makes strides in his game. He advances to the 6th grade and continues to be shitty to girls! Hahaha, Sports Anime. "I'm not being mean, I'm always like this to her." Hahaha. It's quite an interesting read with all these different storylines and character developments. The contrast between Akira's sweetness and Hikaru's sometimes less-than-stellar behavior towards girls adds an element of complexity to the narrative. And the detailed breakdown of the Go game, even though I think it's an awful game, gives readers a better understanding of the sport and how it ties into the characters' lives. Overall, it's a manga that keeps you engaged and entertained.
