The match that we have all been eagerly awaiting finally begins.

It is Sai, the extraordinary Go player with his unique skills and deep understanding of the game, facing off against Touya Meijin, a renowned and highly respected master in the Go world.

The atmosphere in the arena is tense and filled with anticipation. Spectators hold their breaths, their eyes fixed on the Go board, as they watch the two players make their moves.

Sai's hands move gracefully, as if guided by an unseen force, while Touya Meijin maintains a composed and focused expression, carefully considering each of his responses.

This is not just a match; it is a battle of wits, a test of skills, and a display of the beauty and complexity of the game of Go.

Who will emerge victorious? Only time will tell as the game unfolds before our eyes.

I really like Sai!

Definitely an unexpected volume (if you haven't watched the anime, of course ^^;;)! Although I enjoy reading about Hikaru's challenges and progress, I appreciate that the focus of this volume isn't solely on Hikaru.

The anime-manga match-up is as follows:

Episode 52 corresponds to volume 13 up to page 51 (matches 105-106).

Episode 53 corresponds to volume 13 pages 54-93 (matches 107-108).

Episode 54 corresponds to volume 13 pages 96-135 (matches 109-110).

Episode 55 corresponds to volume 13 pages 138 to the end (matches 111-113).

This volume offers a different perspective and allows us to explore other aspects of the story and the characters. It keeps the readers engaged and interested, especially those who are fans of the series. The detailed descriptions and illustrations add to the overall experience, making it a must-read for anyone who loves the Hikaru no Go manga or anime.

The tankobon kicks off with Hikaru Shindo's Pro Ceremony. Despite attaining equal status in the Go World, Akira Toya refuses to acknowledge Shindo's presence, which infuriates Shindo to the extreme. Toya's aloofness isn't without cause. What Shindo doesn't know, and will soon discover, is that his very first professional game is against (drum rolls) Akira Toya!

Finally! After twelve tankobon and a little over one hundred chapters, they are set to play a game! Toya Akira, 2-Dan vs. Hikaru Shindo, 1-Dan in the grunge match of the millennium. The match that is destined to go down in history as the best game ever! Well, it might have been so if Toya had shown up. Apparently, just as Toya was about to leave, his father, Toya Meijin, collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.

After much pestering from Sai, Shindo decides to visit Toya Meijin in the hospital to ease Sai's anxiety. While there, he notices that the Meijin is playing Go online. Remembering the promise he made to Sai, he arranges a game for him.

At first, the Meijin is reluctant to play Sai as he prefers to play face-to-face. But for Shindo's sake, he agrees to play Sai via the Internet, mentioning that it would be a nice diversion between title matches while he is stuck in the hospital. Disappointed, Shindo asks the Meijin to play seriously, as he shouldn't have that excuse when he loses to Sai. Indignant, the Meijin declares that if he loses to Sai, he will retire from Professional Go. He then dismisses a very distraught Shindo from his hospital room.

Just like "sai" before him, the "toya koya" username spreads like wildfire across the world. While convalescing in the hospital, the Meijin is playing Go on the Internet, taking on both pros and amateurs. The whole world is watching arguably the best Go player in the world play. This is the state of the online Go world when "sai" comes out of retirement and challenges the Meijin to an online game – the online Go world goes crazy.

If a game between Toya Akira and Hikaru Shindo is the grunge match of the millennium, then a game between their masters would be the grunge match of all existence! A match that is set to go down in history as the best game ever – the winner, unknown at this time, since the tankobon ends mid-game.

All in all, it is a wonderful tankobon. I had hoped that Toya and Shindo would have their long-awaited match, but looking ahead, there are ten more tankobon, so they have plenty of time. However, we are treated to a far better match – one that I wasn't even expecting! I eagerly look forward to reading the next tankobon to find out the winner of the match.

This manga is not bad.

It has its own unique charm and story.

The art style is quite nice, and the characters are well-designed.

However, it just doesn't quite hit the mark for me as my favorite.

Maybe it's because the plot didn't grab me as strongly as I would have liked.

Or perhaps the characters didn't resonate with me on a deep enough level.

Nonetheless, I can see that others might really enjoy this manga.

It has its own merits and qualities that make it worth reading.

But for me, it's just not that one special manga that I would rave about.

Still, it's not a waste of time to give it a try and see if it might appeal to you.

You never know, it could turn out to be your new favorite.

The cliff-hanger was so well-crafted that it made me reflect on the entire journey of the story up to that point.

It made me appreciate the author's skill in building tension and keeping the readers engaged.

I'm now left with a burning desire to continue reading and find out the resolution to this exciting plot.

I can only hope that I'll be able to get my hands on volume 14 soon and satisfy my curiosity.

Until then, I'll be constantly thinking about this story and eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Divine presence is a concept that has intrigued and fascinated humans throughout history.

It refers to the belief in the existence of a higher power or deity that is present in the world and in our lives.

For some, the divine presence is felt through religious experiences, such as prayer, meditation, or attending religious services.

Others may sense it in the beauty and wonder of nature, or in the kindness and love of others.

The idea of divine presence can bring comfort, hope, and a sense of purpose to those who believe in it.

It can also inspire people to lead more ethical and moral lives, and to strive for greater good in the world.

Whether we believe in the divine presence or not, it is a powerful and enduring concept that continues to shape our understanding of the world and our place in it.

As Hikaru gears up for his very first professional game, he discovers that his initial opponent is none other than Akira Toya.

However, when the time for the game arrives, Akira Toya fails to show up. The reason being that his father has suffered a stroke and has been hospitalized.

Sai is insistent that Hikaru should pay a visit. There, Hikaru finds out that Koyo Toya plays go over the Internet, so he challenges him on behalf of Sai.

The game commences, and it astonishes everyone. Finally, it's the game that Sai has been waiting for ever since he saw Toya Meijin on the TV screen!

Second reading reveals that the most challenging aspect is perhaps the relationship between Sai and Hikaru, which is truly peculiar. In the last two volumes, Sai's determination to play and specifically to play against Toya seems a bit forced. On the other hand, there is the indication that Sai's relationship with Shusaku was even more awkward in its own right, suggesting that it's not all just lighthearted fun and games with Sai. So, that's the situation.

Anyway, it's all rather odd. I recall that there is an arc later about reconnecting with Shusaku, but right now everything feels a bit out of place.

The book is truly getting intense.

As I turn each page, the plot thickens and the tension builds.

The characters are facing increasingly difficult challenges, and I find myself on the edge of my seat, eager to see what will happen next.

The author's writing style is engaging and immersive, pulling me deeper into the story with every sentence.

I can feel the emotions of the characters as if they were my own, and I am completely invested in their fates.

It's as if I have entered a whole new world through the pages of this book, and I don't want to leave.

The intensity of the story is keeping me hooked, and I can't wait to see how it all ends.

What a remarkable volume!

Goodness gracious! I don't usually experience goosebumps while reading, but I did on multiple occasions towards the end of this volume.

It is about as well-plotted, paced, and illustrated an example of manga as you are likely to come across.

The story unfolds in a seamless manner, with each plot twist and turn keeping the reader on the edge of their seat.

The pacing is just right, not too fast that it feels rushed, nor too slow that it becomes dull.

And the illustrations are simply stunning, bringing the story to life in the most vivid way possible.

Overall, this volume is a must-read for any manga enthusiast.

The next book of my favorite book series is something that I'm really looking forward to.

However, it may take me some time to get to it.

There are so many other things that I need to do in my daily life, such as work, study, and taking care of my family.

But whenever I have a spare moment, I think about that next book and how excited I am to read it.

I imagine getting lost in the story, meeting new characters, and going on adventures with them.

Even though it might be a while before I can actually pick up that book and start reading, I know that it will be worth the wait.

It's like a little treasure that I'm saving for a special occasion.

And when that day finally comes, I'll be able to fully immerse myself in the world of my favorite book series and enjoy every single page.

I can't wait for that to happen.
